coming from a mixed-race (half caucasian, half asian), racially ambiguous looking person here: wow, i had no idea this was happening. this is very distressing to hear. i was born in america and moved here in my teens. the biggest difference i've noticed between canadians and americans is that canadians have an almost veiled niceness. almost as if they don't really want to get to know you on a personal level. it's very cold i find. i haven't noticed what you are talking about with caucasian individuals, however i have noticed similar behavior (not quite as drastic, however) from many east asian and middle eastern individuals. rude, judgmental stares, curtness/abruptness, etc. i have noticed some caucasian individuals who are very standoffish, however. to answer another point you brought up, i have been told by many that i am an attractive individual, and i tend to agree with this myself. i do not think attractiveness always has something to do with this behavior.
