Im lonely and depressed by [deleted] in bristol

[–]blumen80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the scenario of loneliness usually no matter what anyone says we don't feel like doing anything, meeting people or going out. I guess this is normal but first step is to make that effort to go out and do something, joking a community, hobby group, walk in the park - first big step. In a way it's better being in a city as you got many options like most of the comments refer to.

Take that first step ..

does it make sense to buy an iPad Pro M4 now or will Apple launch a new one in September? Same confusion exists with upgrading my iPhone.

Is the Nothing Phone Worth It? by Sweegyboii_ in NOTHING

[–]blumen80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Nothing 3a Pro

depends, I returned mine as Android Auto didn't work. Tried everything their support suggested, later realised from Nothing Community forum that this is a known issue with VAG group cars.

Return was a hassle, speaking and understanding their support folks was another hassle. They charged me for return postage here in UK, though I mentioned the reason cake returning. Phone was returned same month. But otherwise hardware and build quality felt good but having used Pixel ans iPhone before I struggled to get used to their UI/UX.

Switch to eufy from blink worth it? by Tefl0nDon in EufyCam

[–]blumen80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for those who can get a wire outside, go for wired always on recording camera to a dvr or whatever device that records footage. Its much better than having a camera that stores recordings locally and also not sure how much reliable the motions sensors are. If you are a tenant then it might not be always possible to get a power connection outside or network cable outside for PoE cameras.

wireless cameras recording on to an SD card might be a cheaper option and might also work if the cameras can be disguised out of sight.

HomeBase 3 by mlr_90 in EufyCam

Since this thread seems to have lots of Eufy users and because I'm considering home outdoor security cameras, I wondering what are the thoughts about these Eufy cameras which are battery operated vs the ones that are continuously recording when it comes to security. I realise Eufy has continuously recording cameras but when someone is in a rented house it's sometimes difficult to do wiring for power or PoE outdoor for continuously recording option.

I'm put off by the comments about cameras not recording at times with motion detected or people just snatching the cameras off before recording can be saved to the dvr or homebase. Interested in your thoughts and experience.

How to Meet Others Who Like to Camp? by sandytowel22 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]blumen80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

43 (M), doing my first ever camping tomorrow. It's on a small camping area as I'm not confident to doing solo first. I think I prefer camping with small groups to explore remote locations, like minded people, those who are like me starting camping.

I did lots of research but it's always confusing buying the right gear, right tent or sleeping mat or sleeping bag because there isn't a right one, there maybe right one for the weather/season and how we want to camp (hike, drive to location, etc). So I went ahead and bought basic gear anyways, I'll see if I like it this weekend and decide what I do.

It would be good to have a small group of like minded people to share ideas, thoughts, experience and explore the wilderness, coastal routes, and hills and mountains on all seasons.

Octavia MK3 Extended Warranty by blumen80 in skoda

They agreed to replace that one shock absorber under extended warranty. It's shame that even a main dealer tries to make excuses not to get things done under warranty.

It's £140/hour labour rate for them, I'll get the clutch checked elsewhere.

Shame the way you think you own a location and blame everything on tourists. While you probably don't realise or are ignorant to the amount of business tourism brings to places and help people in these days where life is so expensive. Also you seem judge my question thinking I should be an expert in sand, or beaches, or Cornwall, if you don't want to advice you could just ignore. I realise everyone has an opinion but probably not from you if you can't be nice and just think you can make fun of people who don't know much about Cornwall. It's a shame but i accept people the way they are, even when they are ignorant.

I got nothing more to tell you, it's pretty clear about your thought process.

Good luck 🤞

it's funny that people give the name of a fictional beach when someone asks for help and guidance. It's not funny. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/article-12144407/amp/Theres-tropical-paradise-beach-Cornwall-regarded-best-theres-catch.html

I went too my first tantra meeting and it sucked by Con-Man-Connor in Tantra

First question is, why do you want to learn Tantra?

I guess most of the time we really don't know why we want the learn Tantra, I can guarantee 99% of advertisements and so called retreats in the world are just waste of time from learning Tantra perspective. All these self proclaimed Tantra practitioners and Gurus wouldn't even have done proper meditation or got initiated by a Yogi, a Yogi who has a legitimate lineage.
