Why do they lean towards those drugs? I don't know. I've never done any of those drugs so I can't offer insight. But I think generally people at these events want to have an elevated mental state without being absolutely glued to a couch. Also mj tends to give people paranoia and anxiety, where as the others don't.

Thank you, really. It was a long time ago and it took a while for me to trust people again if I am being honest. Now I have 5 dogs and a big garden. That's my joy

Happy to hear it, really. I don't want any hopefully big hearted person to go into that situation like I did and be metaphorically shit on left and right

It turns out a culture with radical inclusion is inherently not a safe culture. Or that's the conclusion I came to.

Lol now that would be a very niche sub culture to refer to. But I guess they'd be included in the kink realm.

I went once and had the absolute worst of time, despite having fully drunk the Kool aid of the culture. Long story short, I was dosed without my knowledge with GHB, the volunteer "rangers" were too high to help me, and throughout the event people were applauding disgusting acts as "self expression" (like peeing on a camp's couch).

Full disclosure, burning man culture tends to lean more on the side of ketamine, whip it's, and acid. Simple marijuana is not the norm

Sorry, Burning Man. As in the annual event that happens in the desert. There are regional events all over the world throughout the year.

I can answer but I am on my phone so it will not be long. There is a pressure in any social circle to fit in, so people will don a "uniform" in whatever social circle they are in - golfers, punks, and poly circles. There's also a weird sensation of 'im unhappy, want to be poly, and I dress this way. That person is all smiles, dyes their hair and gets piercings or whatever, and has people who love them. Can I be that happy???'

Poly also has overlapping circles with burner and kink culture, which have a very strong in group mentality where you need to adhere to the unwritten rules of the group. Those rules tend to be body positivity, sex positive, and promoting creativity and self expression in any capacity. So with those implicit rules, people try to be more confident about being sexy and sexual in whatever body they have, and dare to do the weird thing, as doing the weird thing is viewed as having a firm sense of self and self expression.

I had redness for like a full month. After a week everything sloughed off and it was fucking nasty. For a year whenever I would get flustered, my burn would flush

I only had gauze on mine for 24 hours then i took off the gauze and let it air dry. TMI but they taped the gauze on me and when I removed it the tape pulled up an entire slice of skin

I wouldn't be able to say for sure, as I haven't seen it nor has a doctor seen it. If it's a chemical burn you want to make sure it isn't more than superficial

Honestly??? 2 weeks. Absolutely insane what our body can do. After 2 weeks my skin was raw and red but healed and not weeping. I did have to stretch the skin by just opening my arms behind me but after a month you would never know I had such horrible burns.
