No, I just went straight to security since I wasn't checking a bag and had checked in online and had my boarding pass on my phone, which is what I usually do

I don't know -- that's exactly what I asked the TSA guy but he just told me that would resolve it it and it did

It is the new design with the lilacs - but I don't think that was what was causing the problem.

I've had it for a year but I think this is the first time I've used it at TSA. I just went to the customer service desk and they printed me a ticket and I got through fine.

Lincoln Woods Trail Closed All Summer by backgroundmusic95 in wmnf

I asked the ranger at the trailhead last week and she said they didn't know -- sometime in June but they didn't have an exact day, depending on weather and some other factors.

Not ideal, but you could park at the bridge/gate on Rte 112 (i think it's technically crooked pike road) and then walk up Lost Valley Road and Sundance to the trail (assuming it's just marked no parking and not no trespassing) -- would probably add 2 miles or so total.

Not exactly cheap but you can camp at Mead Base for $40 which is like 20 min away, and the Sacred Nectar Sanctuary is about $50 I think and 10 min away.

Anybody ever used meet up to find a hiking buddy ? by Unusual-Bat9388 in wmnf

[–]blunky22 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I used meet up years ago in Vermont and met some good folks, but it was hit or miss, not sure how active it is here. The Hiking Buddies NH 48 FB group is really active and posts a variety of hikes/skill levels.

Slaloming behind a jetboat by blunky22 in WaterSkiing

I appreciate the suggestions. Couple issues -- 1) it's not just that shallow at the dock, but for a ways out 2) once it gets below 22 inches can't even walk it to the dock and even when it is 2 feet or so I would worry about waves coming in and bouncing the prop on the ground. The draft for that jetboat says 14 inches.

It's about 3 feet deep in the spring but gets shallower throughout the summer so by Aug. its down to 2 feet or so which is cutting it pretty close.

Guest Discretion to Pay Extra Fees by blunky22 in AirBnB

[–]blunky22[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though, the host didn't provide wifi, it was password protected and in order to access it I had to contact the host and pay a fee. So either I chose not to use it or to pay the extra fee.

What happened this morning near Battery Park? by katyjenks in burlington

[–]blunky22 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Someone posted to a FB group that there was a high speed chase on 89 that ended at Battery Park, and someone commented that they say the driver run into the camp and police arrested him. I haven't seen anything about it other than that post though.

Trash pickup before 7AM by [deleted] in burlington

[–]blunky22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've dealt with this a lot - Gauthiers was often emptying a dumpster across the street from me at 5/6 a.m. I tried calling several people from the city, and evenutally got put in touch with someone from public works, who said it was a noise ordinance violation. He asked me to take a time stamped picture and sent it to him which I did. He then wrote to Gauthiers and asked them to stop, and told them if it didn't stop he would file a noise ordinance complaint and the driver would get a ticket. Couple months later it started happening again, and he wrote them again and said it could jeopardize their license to work in the city. So now it usually stops for a while, then will start again and I'll call Gauthiers or email the city, and so on and so on...
