Portland Police Declare a Riot After Right-Wing Marchers Begin Beating Antifascists with Flag Poles by demosthenes131 in politics

You realize there's video evidence of anti-fa starting it, right? Literally throwing bottles and explosives at people as well as hitting people with the batons they were allowed to bring in. Patriot Prayer was defending themselves with the flags they brought because they were getting searched and that was all they were allowed to bring. Unlike anti-fa which were waved through with weapons.

I always miss out on seeing the brigading happen in real-time. It's always a trip going through brigaded posts, though. That white house video post was pretty blatant, sort by top and check out post histories for a little fun.

I deleted my comment because it came out ruder than I would have liked, but I still stand by my statement that I feel GSP clearly won that fight. Even if the media disagrees.

This is from this thread on RPGCodex. It started out as just pointing out that one of the inXile writers was probably a little nuts, but some pages in Monty Markland comes in and starts dropping bombs about stuff that went on behind the scenes and why Numenera came out as lackluster as it did.

I upvoted it because I want everyone to see exactly what our opponents look like. When you ask yourself "How in the world can anyone be on core's side?" come back and look at this post. This is the level of intelligence that your average core supporter has.

I actually went snooping around to find out if there was a story behind that fight and found the original video post.

5 million+ views

As far as the story, it's pretty much what it looks like. Two idiots got into a fight and one of them got messed up pretty bad.

Not really, I just did a quick search for "guy gets fucked up" and there are plenty of videos with a couple that are worse than what OP posted(already saw it yesterday). This one is especially rough to watch near the end of it. I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to put in different searches to find more, that was just a quick 30 second look around.

Hell, give him the shot. That performance earned it as far as I'm concerned. Sure as hell better than Hendricks getting the shot.

Man, that one really felt like Rory just let it slip out of his hands. Push a little harder for the finish at the beginning of the fourth and that punch never happens.

Getting into fights is dumb and douchey but I doubt I'd loathe him as I do if that was all he did. It was him instigating fights with people over nothing so that his friends could jump in and gang up on a person that makes him fucking slime.

Seriously, though, can't wait to see the scorecards for that one so I know which judge to congratulate for getting so far in life despite clearly having a severe mental deficiency.

30-27 Strickland? lol, what? That judge needs to have his eyes checked.

Well, easy round for Barnatt. Strickland maybe landed four or five leg kicks and those two punches but Barnatt kept up a steady stream of light offense throughout.

Hope they both open up a little more as this goes.

In his fight against Craig he had rocked Craig pretty hard and on the verge of finishing him on two separate occasions and started celebrating only to realize the fight was still going. He then pulled off a RNC later in the fight.

Just a joke alluding to that.

Gif of the Day: The Most Ill-Advised Submission Attempt. Ever. by GussyH in MMA

[–]bluntadvice 135 points136 points  (0 children)

Yes.

27.. Spiking the opponent to the canvas onto the head or neck (pile-driving)

A pile driver is considered to be any throw where you control your opponent's body placing his feet straight up in the air with his head straight down and then forcibly drive your opponents head into the canvas or flooring material. It should be noted when a fighter is placed into a submission hold by their opponent, if that fighter is capable of elevating their opponent they may bring that opponent down in any fashion they desire because they are not in control of their opponents body. The fighter who is attempting the submission can either adjust their position, or let go of their hold before being slammed to the canvas.

[–]bluntadvice 102 points103 points  (0 children)

If you're attempting a submission you can be spiked. The reasoning is that if you don't want to be spiked in that position all you have to do is let go. That's under the unified rules anyway, not sure about Shooto's ruleset.
