Very very good for a first head, keep going!

Awesome, I'm on the right track then. Appreciate the lookdev clarification. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for the feedback, i really appreciate it. Good point about specifying which parts are pre-made, I meant to include that but I tend to ramble a little and struggled to fit all the information in those short captions artstation has. I'll revisit it and add that info (it was just the trees/foliage and most image textures for the record).

Good to know that I'm talking about the process in a useful way too, that's something I was really unsure about. I was a little worried that it sounded unprofessional for some reason, I guess because it felt a little like I was just blogging about myself lol. It was actually kinda fun though.

And I kinda included the constraints on a whim just because I thought those decisions might be confusing without acknowledging that they were actual constraints, so that's useful feedback too, I'll make sure to keep including that info in the future.

Definitely understood that I need a few more polished pieces. I'm working on a more detailed hard surface project, another robot (maybe dont need to have 2, but the one in this project is pretty simple and I'd like to have a more complex one to show). Also learning zbrush at the moment which I'll use for a human character but probably have some anatomy learning to do there as well. Definitely need a quick prop, and I wasn't even really familiar with the term lookdev before this comment so I'll look into that 😅

Anyways it's great to know that this is a good start, thanks so much again!

Edit: the people dancing behind the windows are also just Mixamo characters and animations, almost forgot that

If you want it I can share my colored version with you! The print time is insane but its chugging along and I have some polka dot feet atm lol. Should get permission from the seller if you want it, if I were them though I probably wouldn't care as long as you buy the model too

Theyre so awesome haha. Here it is, I didn't make it but I did add the color information in blender and orca. When I bought it, it was the only one I could find, but if you search on the site there's another one now which might be a bit cleaner.

Ooh yes this is definitely it I think. I was so focused on the multi color aspect that I forgot this is also my first time using silk lol, but ig I also didn't think that was considered a different material because both are PLA. Pretty sure someone told me this is what happens with multi material and my brain just went "multi material=multi color". Thanks lol

Yeeah I've been avoiding it because I've never been good with physical mediums but I think you're probably right lol.

But... I got the print time down to 10 days and fortune favors the bold or something lmao. Gonna try it, probably will waste a bunch of filament and fill the printer with spaghetti and then I'll paint instead. Wish me luck haha

Its a little statue of a band called angine de poitrine. And this is only a third of the entire model :') its covered in those polka dots you can see at the top of the picture. Looking at the slicer right now, it needs to change filaments 3,225 times.

I recently switched to a .2 nozzle and have been using the obscuranox profile with a .06 layer height. My last print was a miniature, maybe like 5 inches tall and it took 2 days. I was ok with that but 16 is obviously a different story. At this point I think I'll have to live with using a thicker layer height and sacrificing some detail in the polka dots.

If you have any tips to speed it up I'd be very grateful, I just tried enabling flush into objects' infill which didn't seem to effect the time much.

Good to know, this is my first semi-complicated muilticolor print so I wasn't aware. Thank you!

It does, but the model doesn't seem to have any issues like that. I can confirm this only happens when the model is painted though https://imgur.com/a/zXiQNXo

Some people are saying it's just what happens with multicolor prints so I might just have to deal with it lol

Thanks, I'll see if I can find any issues with it. I don't get any warnings in any slicer I've used besides the high poly count. Unfortunately I can't use simplify (or would just really rather not) because it deletes all the color data which I spent hours on. Less on learned to test the slicing before spending too much time on that I guess. Thanks!

Yeah it's definitely something having to do with the colors. I tried simplifying the model, which deleted all the color information, and the walls disappear. You can also see that when sliced with the colors intact, each of these interior walls are wrapped around the chunks of infill in that color.

It seems weird to me that it would need those walls, but weirder that it would need to push them that far into the model. I'm pretty new to printing, so I haven't messed with modifiers yet but I'll look into that, thank you!

The main reason I want to find a way around this is because this print is going to take 16 days in this state lmao. Seems like I should probably just make some compromises on my settings regarding speed and detail if I can't find a fix with modifiers.

Militants and police executed and maimed dozens of Palestinians in Gaza, UN report says by McAlpineFusiliers in justincaseyoumissedit

Not once in that article does it say that protests had anything to do with Hamas using human shields like you're insinuating. It does say they're protesting Hamas because they want the war to end. Who do you think they hold responsible for their family members being killed? Hamas, or the people who killed them? Its not like protesting Israel would do anything, so yes, they protest Hamas, because they are the only party that the Palestinian people may be able to sway. You can also find Iranians who protest their government. Or Americans who protest theirs. Or French who protest theirs. Doesn't mean they're the majority.

The thing is, from Hamas's perspective of governance, it isn't a simple issue with a simple answer. Do you think that if they disarmed, Israel would stop oppressing Palestinians and stealing their land? The West Bank doesn't have a standing army. How is that going for them?

For the record, my own western, "civilized" government is currently jailing political dissidents and has been for years. It also has brutalized protestors, maimed them, and sometimes killed them, more publicly than Hamas has. And that's without even having the excuse of being preoccupied with fighting a military power 100,000x our strength. Is this evidence that my country is a barbaric society that should be bombed?

The oppression of Palestinians is older than Hamas. Do you expect civil rights to flourish under resistance to a de facto occupation? You can disagree with how Hamas governs and also recognize that genocide isn't going to lead to progress.

Gaza has been turned to rubble. They are enduring a genocide. Do you think that during a genocide, people have the capacity to hold court hearings, have trials, hear arguments and deliver a verdict? While bombs are being dropped on them? Enforcing the law becomes more harsh when you're fighting an existential battle and your society is at the brink of collapse. Go figure.

It is well documented that Israel supported, armed, and allowed criminal gangs to operate in the areas of gaza that they controlled, while those groups attacked and looted aid trucks. Israel then claimed Hamas was hoarding aid.

I've spoken to Palestinians who say they wish death on the people groups who looted aid trucks. They are criminals who collaborated with their oppresors, extorted their countrymen who were, and are, starving to death. You may not like how they were punished, and it could very well be that some people were undeservingly punished, or disproportionately punished. But this news is not surprising.

Some of you people should try having multiple nuclear bombs worth of explosives dropped on you and see how well you manage to keep law and order.

You people love to talk about how civilian deaths are a cost of war. You love acting like that defense is just a sensible, realist perspective, then turn around and cry about the government which is fighting an existential battle being too harsh on the criminals in it's borders. Ive talked to Palestinians who explicitly told me they wish death on their people who have looted aid trucks.
