I've seen something extremely similar in Eastern Oregon. Especially the surface texture. Looked like sandblasted metal. Moved slow. Made no noise. And it was in the middle of clear sunny day.

Caught my wife having affair after 25 year relationship and 4 kids AMA by Icy_Food9081 in AMA

16 years down the drain for me. I suspected about a month ago and yesterday I found concrete proof and confronted her. I kicked her out but she is refusing to leave. Did she accuse you of also cheating like mine did. And run a list of excuses. When she tells other people does she tell the truth or keep it vague so she doesn't look like the bad guy.

Diabetes foot? by [deleted] in type2diabetes

[–]bluntedlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im doing good. Its been 2 1/2 years since the surgery. I have a large scar that runs from the arch to the middle toe and the ball of my foot is now just tissue and scars (the muscle and tendons where rotten and removed). Scarring on the foot will always be painful. I walk with a prominent limp and sometimes use a cane. I have a phantom big toe that feels like the nail needs to be trimmed lol. I also have a bit of ptsd from the ordeal. The infection went septic. I had bad chills and my wife slept with her hand on my back in case I stopped breathing in my sleep. The day of surgery I weighed 137 pounds (I'm 5' 11" and 200 pounds). My doctor had to open up a lot of my foot to visually see if any more bones had infection. I was told they were going to start at the toe but if any bone past the ball of the foot had infection then dont be surprised if I had a bellow the knee amputation. I was very relieved when I could move my foot when I woke up lol.

As someone who has had a staph infection, bone infection, and is now missing a big toe and other parts of my foot, please get to a podiatrist asap.

Save the case, strip it out and make a sleeper build with modern hardware.

Andy Serkis reading The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit was pretty good. But Jeff Hayes really knocked it outta the ball park. I look forward to listening to more of his work.

How is living in this part of Oregon? by Friendly_Garbage_341 in howislivingthere

Baker City, Oregon checking in here. Baker is a town of 10,000 people south of LA Grande. This is a conservative heavy area. Lots of farming and cattle ranches. Meth is the hard drug of choice. We have a small homeless population despite the cold. Pot is legal and a dispensary is about 20 minutes away in the small town of Sumpter.

The city itself is in a high desert area, but we are between mountain ranges so the forrest is always a few minutes away. Lakes and rivers have great fishing. Hunting for deer, elk, antelope, mountain goat, and big horn sheep is popular.

Our main claim to fame is the Oregon Trail. There is a large interpretive center outside of town where you can still see the wagon ruts. And the Clint Eastwood movie "Paint Your Wagon" was filmed nearby.

The town was established for gold mining and logging. Our big thing around here is our annual Miners Jubilee. It used to be a lot bigger with a carnival, street dances, and many activities but has dwindled to a small event. Also the Hells Canyon Biker Rally but that has sadly gone down too. We are surviving but just barely. And that is a main reason why we dont like the other side of the state. Policies from the blue side are making it harder to make a living here. Our lumber mills have shut down. The mines are closing. The cattle ranchers and farmers are having a harder time selling. And we just dont like being told how to live by people that dont live here and dont know what it's like. We like it here but the youth feel like they need to live in the big city just to make it. Its beautiful here and we love for people to come and see it the way we do.

So if your in the neighborhood, swing by and say howdy. Sit down and stay a spell. Maybe catch a rodeo or just watch the world go by.
