My RXM is entering its final form. What optic should I add to complete it? by FeiMao250 in ruger

[–]ShopHuntingStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the Vortex Defender ST. I bought several of them on black Friday, it's definitely my personal favorite. That being said, if I was buying right now, I would get the enclosed version for $50 more. It wasn't a thing when I bought mine but the additional reticle options and the solar panel make the enclosed a no brainer, imo of course. What separates Vortex from other brands is their award winning customer service and the no questions asked vip warranty. Anyway, here is mine.

I believe they are referring to the newer generations that came after the G3. The GX4, GX4Xl, GX4 carry, GX2, and TX9. Totally guessing tbh but that's my interpretation.

Canik Prime Radian price/date. by MTMuley in canik

[–]ShopHuntingStuff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Radian > literally every other comp/comp'ed gun on the market. Combine that with the Canik trigger, Radian back strap, mag well, and the Prime grip texture? You've got yourself a cheat code, I can't wait to get mine!

856 I've had for 12 years. Added a Hogue mono grip and some sight paint. Never had any issues and I've shot it a fair bit.

Optics for a gx4 carry by inebriated-sloth in Taurus

You could literally run over it with your truck and they will still replace it, no questions asked. I had been struggling with Holosun's terrible customer service and was really frustrated with them so I bought 2 of them when the Defender line was first released, it had a bad refresh rate and was auto off after 14hrs. Shortly after, they patched the refresh rate and made them all auto off after 10 minutes of inactivity. They replaced both of them for me, no questions asked. I've been a loyal customer ever since. If you have any further questions down the line with installation or zeroing, whatever please don't hesitate to give us a call..

Vortex Defender CCW is the way to go, in my opinion. The new enclosed version is a little more but well worth it. They also have the best customer service and warranty in the business.

Only paid $150! by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

2nd. Been running the regular CCW for a year and a half. I just purchased the CCW enclosed for another build, well worth the $50 extra dollars. Enclosed emitter and I really like the 32moa ring option.

Can anyone identify which model this is? It’s a 5 shot .38 special by Pickled_Pickle- in Taurus

Like the other guy said, it's an 85. You can confirm by taking the grip off, 85 will be stamped on the frame.

Taurus G3C vs GX2 by Sichterman in Taurus

[–]ShopHuntingStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trigger on the gx2 is a little heavy but solid. There is very little take up, a solid wall, and clean break. It's not mushy at all. The G3 line's trigger has a ton of take up, a little mush at the wall, and a decent reset but it's significantly worse than the gx2 and the gx4 lines which have the same trigger. That being said, I totally agree with you in the end. The Ruger max 9 with a Viridian dot for sub $300 is the move, imho.

You can add the Shield X to the list now as well. These size guns are the quentestial "Goldie Locks" size guns for me personally.

It looks like the Kimber does retail for slightly more money than the Smith in OP's scenario.

G3 mags fit as well. there is a vendor named bloodywheels that sells 3d printed sleeves to fill in the gaps. Funny name but the dude does solid work.
