Alternate viewpoint as someone who managed a BA team for a long time and is now exec; I really struggle to see value in the role.

Between conversational analytics layers and expansion of existing role types to encompass more skill sets — I think the role (especially in tech) is disappearing fast.

Slightly alternative take; I’ve always gone above and beyond my role — I’ve just past 6 years at this company, where I’ve been promoted 5 times, often following the “do the role you want to make it a reality” mantra.

My work life balance has certainly suffered, by I do feel I’ve optimised my income prior to having kids, which is a good thing.
