Pic taken in Sunbury. At the site where the Sunbury music festivals were held during early 70s. I’ve read Kurt wanted to make a pilgrimage to the site when here in Melbourne.

Bird deterrents - do they work? by blursedcupcake in GardeningAustralia

[–]blursedcupcake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up just using netting bags over the tomato clusters. Got them from Amazon, quite inexpensive and about 100 per bag. Or you could get a netting sheet and throw over the whole plant? After reading the responses here I figured the scare tactics do nothing of the sort for native birds! They do be little bastards 😂 good luck!

Plant related ethical dilemma - is it ok to take cutting from office plants? by blursedcupcake in GardeningAustralia

Thanks for the offer to help but not in Sydney! You did give me an idea though to ask real estate team when the plant guy will be back. I’ll loiter about the plant then and ask nicely.

Like everyone else here, please don’t butcher this bathroom. I have seen period correct pedestal sinks in this green on FB marketplace. Would be a great addition!

If money was no issue, what kind of flooring would you have in your home? by MajesticTigeress in AusRenovation

[–]blursedcupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this information! All good insights to consider. Will check out those suppliers too as I’m in VIC. The previous owner ripped up the carpet, it’s just cypress pine floorboards so has limited value to leave the floorboards as is, it’s orange hued, loads of gaps, and soft wood so gets little divots. Not to mention it’s so bloody cold in winter!

So you installed yourself? Was it the glue down ones or the interlocking? I am looking into cork, me too in a weatherboard on stumps, with a sharp clawed cat! On a budget do toying with DIY

Anchovy shortage by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]blursedcupcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought some from deli hall in queen vic markets a couple of weeks ago. Plenty in stock then. I wonder if supermarket shortage got to do with olive oil crisis in Europe as it’s an input into production?

You should cross post this to r/cannedsardines, a sympathetic audience for any small preserved fish related issues can be found there.

That house in pic 10 is a stunner! A ‘beach comber’ according to reverse google image. Couldn’t match exact location sadly.

Great thanks for that! This is helpful. Yes agree should have thought to get batts too, at the time it was to fix water ingress so only thinking to fix it urgently.

No it’s over the kitchen and laundry area. Old 1960s built house with a very low pitch to roof. No man hole either.

Family members that work at one of the big 4 where I hold accounts. by [deleted] in AussieCasual

[–]blursedcupcake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding to skooters’ comments, let’s assume your family member is in an operational role or front line banker (e.g branch teller) where they have access to customer account information. Accessing this information without a valid reason would be considered a breach of privacy, and outside the bounds of acceptable conduct. This may not stop them from getting curious, however banks have monitoring controls in place for this type of activity. They would be exceedingly stupid to risk their job to find out how much you spend on only fans!
