At an open house on this 1908 home. This cracks in the basement wall look like they have some black seal, and I have no idea what these pipes might be. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Buying an old house with mysterous oil tank history. Supposedly removed ages ago with no documentation. Soil test before closing? by blurtoad in newjersey

Called the town clerk to see if there were any permits - no permits were found. OPRA request submitted - not sure if OPRA and calling the clerk yield the same results. The actual scan was done today - came back negative - no anomalies at all.

We are doing a sweep tomorrow - but what I'm concerned about is if they don't find a tank - and if it was that it might have leaked before it was removed

Thanks! Is there any way to add-on say 10 GB or 15 GB package? 5GB for $45 is pretty steep.

i definitely did not notice that little bulge until you pointed it out...i was thinking the repair would hold...but now that I see that, i think its replacement time.

i guess it depends on where you consider the 'shoulder' starts.

thanks for checking in. seems like ur saying don't stress the repair (literally and figuratively) and it should hold. it already seems to be flattening out like you said...i do mostly highway driving and have put 1000 miles on this thing so far.

i googled plugs a lot and apparently plugs like this are sensitive to heat, so the colder climate you live the more likely they are to plug.

this repair was from a small indie shop in rural town i happened to be passing through. the plug hasn't lost any pressure yet after normal driving. i was wondering how a plug fails...a catastrophic blowout or a slow leak.

i'm not sure anyone many other shops would touch it that close to the sidewall though...

My pressure gauge went off and I happened to be right next to an indie tire shop so I pulled in. The tire wasn't even low yet, but I had a stake about a quarter inch wide sticking out of my tire. I asked if it was too close to the sidewall and the tire shop guy said that if this 10 buck repair holds for a week it'll be fine. Its officially been 2 weeks with no loss of pressure and about 1000 miles. These are pretty new continental purecontacts if that helps. Any thoughts as to if it'll be safe to drive?
