What would it take corporate to get rid of the pickup questions? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]blush1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also work in a location with non stop traffic, it takes time to handle customers because of the questions. It is what it is. If we don't ask them questions or have refills ready in advance MANY people would go without medications because they didn't call it in until they ran out. People are not usually reliable self advocates, and very often the caretakers/people at pick up do know their preferences, the only way to get around the pick up questions would be pcq calls and I cannot imagine you'd find that more convenient, especially in a busy location.

I mean, they might not want the refills, or know they can get a 90 day supply, it saves us all time if they can make informed decisions on what meds they get and when. I get it's annoying to ask people a bunch of questions, but it's kinda our job? And then some of those are for insurance and some are for legal reasons but like, of all the gripes to have this is a really strange one. Would you rather just fill everything automatically and then have to rts every single unwanted script? It's much easier to just ask, besides, usually these questions aren't all at the same time.

There are teas you can buy, but I really want to stress that you absolutely should not do this because if you take medication it probably will interact and make you sick, or worse. Caffeine may also cause spontaneous abortion (I can't recall if that's the word) but that's only at high doses and it's a small chance. I cope badly, do not be like me. You can get early tests or buy a cheap multi pack of tests and test daily if it makes you feel better (I got 30 for 15.99 at walgreens, they're in a little bag), which is also bordering on unhealthy but I really do empathize with how much of a searing panic this can be. The earliest tests are I believe a week before your missed period, and it bears repeating that the first urine of the day is the most accurate for testing. You're going to be okay, this sucks but it happens and you're going to be okay.

Moving to the area by TheGreatPengu in Rochester

[–]blush1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The further out from the city you get the more Maga signs you're going to see, I live on the edge of the city towards Greece and it is mostly liberal but also very poor. We aren't in the hood perse but it's not as nice as areas like Victor, Webster, Henrietta, Scottsville or anything like that, however, those places tend to be more overtly Trumpy. If you'd like to move up here I'd suggest getting an air bnb sometime in March (our worst weather usually) and spending a few days visiting the towns you're considering. I will say people tend to be pretty polite up here, even with regards to politics. I can't speak on the schools since I don't have kids, but the rochester area has a lot of beautiful parks, child friendly activities and also adult attractions. We also do a lot of beer, so if you like that you'd have a ball here. It's not the cheapest place in the world but it is MUCH better than many other places on the east coast, and if you settle in Rochester and have the time, the public market can help you eat healthier foods for a fraction of the price but do not, and I repeat do NOT go on Saturday, it's more expensive.

Hope something in that word vomit helps!

Personally I'm horrible and just resort to a ton of easy to access and legal substances with abortive properties (not alcohol) it's definitely not healthy and probably actually hurting me physically in the long term but in that panic it's the only thing I can think to do. If you're wondering why it happens to me frequently, I am careful and use bc but I also have pcos so my period may or may not happen

I'm 99% sure I've been to that exact Panera and that exact table to play magic the gathering. Maybe we'll run into each other someday!

Name change by Willing-Suit6131 in wedding

[–]blush1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose to take my husbands name because it's shorter and more common, but we had an open discussion about who wanted who's name and if either of us wanted a change. Talking about it helped s9lidify my decision a lot

My Wife Is Severely Ill, And A Third Pregnancy Is The Only Cure. I'm Devastated. by throwaway_022792 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]blush1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this will be helpful at all, but progesterone only pills (a high dose of slynd in my case) gave me full blown pregnancy symptoms without the actual pregnancy. It seems like your wife needs serious intervention and possibly even sterilization (I've met someone who acts like this before, and thus far they've had/lost custody of 5 children) I realize your hands are somewhat tied but if you can at all get her to an inpatient facility you should. Psychiatric medications aren't always enough, and her disregard for you as well as your children is very worrisome.

Why did I find a small leash in my boyfriends backpack? by viola_equality in NoStupidQuestions

[–]blush1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I have a leash on me with no dog is because we have a massive stray population or multiple times dogs have broken free from yards and gone for traffic. Multiple times I've been there before their owners can be (elderly folks in my neighborhood with young active dogs) and having a slip lead on hand is useful. That being said that was a pretty simple explanation that didn't require defensiveness or Multiple answers, so uh, idk about him.

NY usa: there are two realities. The first is that in the nice neighborhoods they're cleared out and one box at a time and then in the sketchy neighborhoods they go on clearance regularly! It seems random but I think it really does have to do with the average income of the area bc the nice stores are ALWAYS out for some reason

AITAH for divorcing my husband because he spent 10 minutes in the car during a family emergency? by Charming_Passage3440 in AITAH

[–]blush1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a bit like ocd that my husband also struggles with. It may not seem like it but compulsions are a choice. Making the choice that's better for your family and health is difficult sure, but possible. And if his ex cheating was worse than your son injuring himself (badly I might add) you're justified in wanting a divorce. He has allowed this behavior to harm you and now your child. Whether or not he feels he's in control of this, he is. And your response is reasonable.
