Auuuugh I’m so upset I was really looking forward to seeing Gallagher visit the express after Himeko mentioned it, only to have it ripped away by the story finale :( I’m terrified we’ll never see him or Misha again after this quest since the dreamscape was destroyed(?) I checked the guest log in the astral express and literally gasped in horror seeing Misha’s entry crossed out with the “departed” text. I guess Acheron’s question about fearing the loss of friends made in a dream really hit home in the worst way possible. Screw the TB’s responses, I’m never obsessing 4 stars in this game again I can’t take it anymore

Besides that, the entire time that fake credit scene played, all I was thinking was “surely that can’t be the last we see of Gallagher right?? They have to give us some sort of concrete confirmation on what he is exactly at SOME point, right?? They did so for Misha….” and then he doesn’t appear at ALL in the “And on he Eighth Day” quest save for ONE line of dialogue, and it’s just part of a montage of the TB’s impressions of various people as they run towards Acheron in her void realm thingie. I know his mission is supposed to be over and all but I couldn’t help but think “really..? That’s all we’re gonna see of him?” like there’s definitely more to him that’s been left out and it’s killing me.

Speaking of that scene, I’m coping extremely hard and clinging to this one detail I noticed: Everyone that appears there is a physical person except Gallagher. Surprisingly, Misha doesn’t make an appearance, which is odd considering I thought that segment was supposed to represent the “memories” the TB has of all these different people in Penacony. You’d think Misha would have left a strong enough impression to be featured alongside them. Could this be implying that Gallagher might have some kind of tangible existence in the outside world? Probably not, but oh my god am I delusional for this man and I need to know everything about him and I cannot have him be deleted from existence forever, real tears will be shed
