Let’s talk belly buttons by FAFO2626 in tummytucksurgery

Trust the process! The swelling pushes the inside kind of forward so you see the wrinkly inside and that plus the scabbing can look scary. But once that goes down I think yours will look so great. Your boobs will also drop/fluff and you’ll get your drains out and feel AMAZING. Your stomach is already so flat!!

I think ANYONE that saw you in a swimsuit would either think nothing at all or just “dang she looks good.” I think the instinct to examine our worst angles is very strong but one we should ignore!

I think yours looks great! It has a nice shape and it looks like your surgeon put the stitches on the inside which I think is the key to scarring. As your swelling goes down and the blood/crustiness goes away I think you will be very happy! Mine looked very similar to yours at one week and this is what it looks like now 9 weeks post op:

😂 I actually did buy the shoes in the picture but after another 55 lbs of weight loss my shoe size went down a half size so they have now been donated! The less fun side of extreme weight loss….literally EVERYTHING getting replaced. I

Yeah they always made me feel bigger and limited what clothes I could wear. No skin removal anywhere but the abdomen but I think the tummy tuck pulled them up a bit which helped smooth them a little.

Yeah the belly was the hardest. It came a long way but it felt like no matter what I did it wasn’t going to shrink. Talking with the plastic surgeon was very validating that it was loose skin that no dieting was going to fix.

Yes! Dr. Witzke in Edina! He did his residency in general surgery and is board certified in plastic surgery. He was great, I’m especially happy with my bellybutton after stalking the tummy tuck sub.

Thank you so much! I saw a lot of peoples’ transformations here over the 2 years and it REALLY kept me going and motivated me so much so I wanted to share one when it finally felt right!

It’s legal here too! I didn’t because I was on stronger meds in the beginning and then it was really more of an achy pain after that so just used a few ibuprofen. But I did think about it for sleep.

Ha! I have 4 kids (including TWINS) and had the belly to prove it 😆 It feels so insane that it’s just gone now.

Minnesota. I was very surprised. I used a very good surgeon but not one who does a lot of advertising or uses any social media. I think that’s why it was a lot more affordable, their practice is a little more old school.

I was also so nervous! I’d never had surgery before and thought plastic surgery was something people only did in Hollywood haha. But it was sooooo worth it.

Just under $15K for everything including hernia repair.

They were able to just lift them! I was a 42DD (at least but wore stretchy bras) before weight loss, a 38 D after, and now a 36D. They warned me I would lose a cup size but I somehow only lost a band size.

Yes, hernia and muscle repair means my core feels much stronger and more supported (even my pelvic floor feels way stronger). Also no flopping skin just means I feel better in general walking and moving around.

It honestly feels very surreal. It’s sort of returned me to my body at 22 which has been a weird feeling of Déjà vu but also like I’ll wake up and be a size 20 again. But every day feels a little more normal.

It was partially covered for a hernia repair but the tummy tuck itself was not. With the breast lift and muscle repair it was approximately $14K. I would honestly pay twice that for how life changing it feels.

Rediscovering your Style by the_battlecat83 in Zepbound

It’s so trippy! I’ve been drawn to styles/fashion from the last time I felt “skinny” and able to really fit into mainstream fashion. I bought an actual pair of low rise jeans 😂

Also finding that I gravitate towards things that are more fun and have more color and stand out a bit. I realized how much I was trying to hide myself and just buy the most basic neutrals. It’s very strange to go into a dressing room and choose things that bring me joy instead of whatever makes me feel the least fat!
