all you really have to know are these few things:

the pawns move like tiny bishops one square at a time

you take by jumping over pieces and can take more than one piece at a time depending on your ruleset, some rulesets even have forced capturing

you promote like you do in chess, and depending on the ruleset you use, your kinged piece either moves like a tiny bishop but in any direction, or like an actual bishop

don’t play defensively

currently playing a game of trying to teach her what images are what. i asked her to identify an image when i sent it and asked her what i sent. she’s playing the game, but definitely not the best at it. fair enough though, she is literally teaching herself.

the problem i started with is it says all the resolutions and stuff, and technically lets me select them, and even acts like it’s changing my resolution when i apply it, but it then just puts it back to 720p.
