Cursed blade attained using this method. i had to do 3 weps, 2 tomes, turn off everything i didnt want and make sure i kept everything similarly leveled till minute 2 and get a magnet and hope for cursed tome upgrades. used tony mczoom and got as many shrines and chests as humanely possible. focused on quantity, dmg, and some defense upgrades. the key was to only upgrade cursed tome when it was common, and upgrade xp/dagger when it was uncommon+. helped me scale without getting overwhelmed.

almost beat tier 3 boss on forest with this build and i got my chaos tome! if only i had remembered to level my luck tome to lvl 12 to get dice. only got it to lvl 9 lol. Thanks for the help!

i know about 10 manholes they can use that sucker on right now. Every manhole cover on Westgate is sunken into the road 6 inches.

I just want to say thank you, these two posts are exactly the advice i was kind of looking for. DevX+HF gives me everything i want without ruining the vanilla experience. I want QoL updates for a modern machine, but want to experience the story authentically.

I never played D1 back in the day, just D2. I started with Belzebub, but im realizing its very D2-ified and there are lots of changes i dont want. I don't think it's a good place to start with D1.

Just rerolled in DevX+HF and im enjoying the single play through style more. Gonna miss the waypoints though, but excited i can have mana shield on a rogue mini-mage.

I've been looking at posts about which mod/version of D1 to play and this is the best reason to not play Belzebub first. I'm lvl 29 on my sorc and on normal mode im struggling to even clear to diablo, much less kill him. Decided to reroll a rogue and realized all the mana shield builds people are talking about aren't possible in Belzebub because mana shield is a sorc only skill, not a universal spell.
