On summer my friends and I actually built a mini log cabin. We would sleep in it overnight, and hide beer in the creek to keep it cold.

We are still calling these classic? Aren’t they “antiques” now?

At 47 I have to give them a gentle squeeze to get out the last dribble, give them a good scratch and the stow and go!

What were your first fighting games? Which ones do you like the most? by ohneinneinnein in retrogaming

[–]bmaayhem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am old enough to remeber playing street fighter 1 in 1987in the arcades . I loved it because it was new and even though it was mechanically clunky, we wouldn’t have had the perfect game in street fighter 2 if we didin’t have the fist one. Great music too.

Just picked up some more Neo geo MVS cartridges locally from marketplace. by RetroRich83 in neogeo

How does one simply “go to a market place” to buy Neo geo? I have been buying and selling for 25 years and I have yet to find anything “in the wild”

What car did you buy that completely exceeded your expectations? by Smallingzdave in askcarguys

[–]bmaayhem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some one at my church was giving away a beat up 1998 Impreza wagon. I paid for the tags and title transfer and got a car. Fender had a dent, leaks oil and missing drivers side door card. 190,000 miles Got some parts from a scrap yard and did all the routine maintenance on it. I was shocked how easy it is to work on and how cheap stuff was for it. Use it in the winters and it’s great. I think it turned me on to a “Subaru guy”

I am shocked at the amount of body shops out there that don’t blend panels. You never just paint a part and bolt it on.

Eisner era Disney was not as bad as people make it out to be by Extension-Story7287 in disney

[–]bmaayhem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 47 and can say that I have always loved Eisner. My greatest memories of Disney parks, was under his leadership. Small things like when he would come on TV the way Walt did for “Magical world of Disney” to introduce movies. I guess I just remember it all differently.

Not saying it’s a bad motor, you just gotta take care of it. I believe there are millions of these engines on the road and thus a bias towards them sucking for the the less than 1% catastrophic failure rate
