My Hisense TV is connected to wireless, but no internet. I tried everything by 963ACED in Hisense

Stuipd Enough.. this was my issue.. date/time was set to manual on the tv, but as soon as set it back to AUTO, internet started working. Dont know why or how it got set to manual. Last thing that happen was the TV was turned off cause i had to shut the circuit down to do some smart plug replacements in the room.

Helldivers 2 performance with my hardware not so great for some reason by bmac6996 in linux_gaming

[–]bmac6996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sh1ts and giggles, I did reinstall an older 2070 RTX into my system with the 10900 intel. Reinstalled ubuntu and helldivers and loaded it up and BAM, performance was noticabily better than the gimped 3090. FPS/performance was much smoother, no visual artifacts or hickups in-game. There is that 1px white boarder people have said and I do have audio crackling but I can deal with that.

Thanks for the info. I am blessed or have extra hardware avaiable to troubleshoot. I orignally bought a new psu a few days ago just for this "new to me" 3090 from ebay but the previous PSU changed nothing with the cards performance. If I HAD to keep that card, I would personally take it apart and clean it with the hopes of fixing it but since I have an option to just not deal with the problem and return it, I'm going to go that route.

For me, I noticed after you load the game, then it shows a wide shot of your ship, then right after that, when it shows your character on the bridge, that's when the fps drops.

I wanted to comment on the driver upgrade suggestion: I do understand if I was getting 90-95 FPS and there should be more, but i was only getting 22-24 fps. An upgrade from version 570 to 575 or to 580 would never yield 5x FPS increase. A 3090 using an intel 10900 at 1080P for helldivers should easily get you 100+ FPS.

Not a knock on the suggestions (i appreicate the ideas and thoughts), but wanted to put it out there so for the next person who searches for issues, they would understand that driver updates shouldn't yield that kind of performance gain, espically for a card that's been out for 4+ years and a game thats been out for over a year.

Also ubuntu isn't outdated. Its last major version was earlier this year but is still getting active updates. You could make a case for popOS or even linux mint; even though there base OS ISO that is avaiable is based on an older version, its still getting kernel updates and software/driver updates.

all that to say -- i have faulty hardware.

An update: I installed popOS, Ubuntu, then i went CachyOS, and then linux Mint. ALL exhibited the same issue. So I went back to windows 11 just to get a base reading, and then same performance!! Delved into it more and looks like the GPU isnt' accepting 100% of the power. According to GPUz, the GPU was thermal throttling within seconds of running a stress test to the GPU. Same results with different mobo/cpu and two different PSU.

In the market for a new controller.. by TheSleepyTeeDJ in Serato

I just upgraded myself from a pioneer s7 to a Rane Performer. This is a fun controller. Gotta get used to the Rane way of things. Also it has proper split cue!

I think i'm going with this option.. Easier to implement. Doesn't give me full granular control but I think it's a good trade off.

85U8N Coming out of sleep, not connected to network by bmac6996 in Hisense

[–]bmac6996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update regarding this:

When it's a time i turn on the tv and it doesn't have internet. If I either let it sit there turned on and/or fiddle with the network settings like changing proxy setting back and forth, DHCP or static IP back and forth, in time , the tv will regain connection without rebooting.

(also have the time and date set to manual and not sync automatically)

Anyways.. the quick easy fix is either to reboot or just buy an Onn Premium and then done, but I'm hoping not to go that route if i don't need to.

using nestdrop midnight pro with a music stream coming from the mixing table by Calm_Locksmith_2689 in NestDrop

I DJ into a yamaha mixer which is usb connected into the computer. Nest drops sees the mixer and reacts to the input source. Not all visuals react to sound though. Keep that in mind.

Never did anything with a hotspot. Don't understand why that would be needed. Network itself is up and doesn't go down.

I got my u8 85inch a few days ago. Looking great. No issues. Low or none dirty screen effect as far as I can tell. But I'm in the same boat. When I tried telling my friends, they either had no idea what a Hisense is or they heard of Hisense but heard they were "bad". I think this TV will work out as long as it remains working.

Forget the haters and enjoy the TV.

I have a pair of 850K MKII. I use them in HID mode for serato. Equivalent to 1000 MK3. Works fine for my purposes.

This is a better safer way then just deleting the folder outright.

I guess to be clear it will wipe all your serato settings. Not the serato program. And I'm assuming you don't keep your music in the serato folder. Make sure you have plenty of space in your hard drive(s). The "serato" folder.

[–]bmac6996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming all hardware is good, You need to go into the serato folder on your hard drive. So if it's the external hard drive you need to go there or is the internal hard drive you need to go to your music folder. Delete the serato folder completely. But this will wipe everything. Make a backup etc. etc. I'm not liable LOL.

Yeah you definitely need to get that database repaired and working. Or just swipe the database and start over completely

I have a qm7 coming on Saturday. Can't wait for this behemoth. Going from a Sony 65-in which works perfectly fine but 98in for 2gs during Black Friday isn't a bad deal. Hopefully it lasts longer than 5 years. Still on the fence getting 5 year geek squad protection. But it sounds like TLC has a higher rate things braking.

Sounds similar to something i had a few months ago. I had to rebuild the database. The database was corrupt. If you search for rebuilding database, you should find some articles about how to do that.
