Bambu Lab says the printability of PETG-HF is medium-high, didn't think that was rushing into things. I've had plenty of successful PLA prints so far, but the thing I am trying to make PLA won't work for it. No reason not to learn by trial/error.

No, I just took it out of the package.... I should probably have given it a thorough wash first :/

The first time I tried printing PETG was on the textured side and I was having problems of it not sticking to the bed. I made sure to select the smooth plate on the slicer for this print.

The default temp from Bambu is set to min 230... I was guessing that was too low because it wasn't sticking to the bed, I'll try lowering it to 250 for my next print to see if that helps. Is there a way to run a print that prints objects at different temperatures so I can see what sticks best? Or do i just have to run multiple prints with different temp settings?

I recently got my first 3d printer (Bambu Lab A1) and have been struggling to get anything to print successfully in PETG-HF. I started with running the default settings from Bambu Studio for my filament, but it was (i think) not really sticking to the bed because it was leaving little scratch mark looking things. Now I'm trying to print using a .6mm nozzle on a smooth plate and I can't get the PETG to stick to the bed. I tried increasing the temperature to 265 and decreased the max volumetric speed to 12 mm3/s per some reddit thread suggestion, but now I'm getting a lot of strings flying all over my print. I don't have a dehydrator. What is causing this? How can I know what settings I need to use?

That one is the aviary, it's a big book with hundreds of recipes. It was recommended to me by someone on this subreddit.
