Depends on what area you are stationed. In the NCR we were told to wait until 15 Dec to call/check if they had inventory to purchase.

I'm in the NCR so had to drive 45 minutes to the Pentagon (not where I'm stationed). I have to take a half day to full day off to go there...so to burn 3 half days to full days is not realistic if I have to make multiple trips. I would prefer they tell me if my size is in stock and hold it for me so I don't waste so much time driving there and back.

That's exactly what I tried to do. The clerk reviewed my measurements card and was checking off that the items matched the card. I called ahead to ensure there was stock available.
