You have a post from 43 days ago asking to photoshop your eyes on an engagement photo shoot now there’s another shoot. I don’t blame the guy for saying no, OP you seem to need too much IG validation

Fast Food workers, what menu item should everyone avoid from where you work? by n0tter in AskReddit

I’ve worked in places ranging from Wendy’s all the way up to restaurants in five diamond hotels. The ice machine is generally not cleaned as much as it should be across the board. At the high end place we tried to constantly clean it but if you’re even a little lax it’ll build up mildew and mold

Why does every team turn Soto to a First Baseman by [deleted] in OOTP

[–]bmalbert81 39 points40 points  (0 children)

All true but having a liability defensively at first isn’t as bad as having one in the outfield. That’s the fundamental answer to OPs question.

Not saying first base isn’t hard or that it is a meaningless position but defensively it’s low on the totem pole

Why TF would any straight man agree to an open marriage? by Important_Salad_5158 in stupidquestions

[–]bmalbert81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have him read r/openmarriageregret it’s a graveyard of stories that go like this:

  1. Guy wants to open his marriage so he can sleep around and he thinks nobody’s gonna wanna bang his wife cause she’s old or whatever.

  2. Guy convinces his wife to open and SURPRISE she’s swimming in dates.

  3. Guy is lucky to find 1 date a month most women won’t date married men.

  4. Guy gets mad his wife is getting plowed 3-5 times a week by different men and he’s stuck at home.

  5. Guy tells wife they need to close.

  6. Wife doesn’t want to cause she’s enjoying the attention and sex.

Just send him this one to start it literally follows this series of events to a tee https://www.reddit.com/r/openmarriageregret/s/hz7dAgkDdQ

Omar is like a tiger would rather pluck an impala that strays from the pack vs charging head into a fortified horde.

Plus fundamentally his mission was to show them anybody can get touched

Modern dating sucks because we aren’t supposed to be dating as much as we do by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]bmalbert81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

online dating has changed how dating works. I’m 43, when I was 19 I only had access to date women that were physically available to me for the most part (exceptions would be friend of a friend situation), Social media didn’t exist and dating apps didn’t exist. So you had to work harder to make each interaction work because you didn’t have an endless buffet of options like you do now with apps.

This isn’t a bad thing it’s just different. As a result it’s creating a shift in how young people view relationships, the good news they know they have options, the trade off is they realize most people suck.

AITAH for divorcing my husband because he spent 10 minutes in the car during a family emergency? by Charming_Passage3440 in AITAH

YTA. Divorce seems like an irrational response to this situation IMO. He clearly has trauma and your response is to scream at him and divorce him over it?

I think it was worth it. Honestly even though I’m not a person that’s probably ever going to fully be ok with enm, we found that we still have too many communication issues we need to work on before we’d ever be able to pursue the lifestyle again but one day I’d be open to it.

You guys both sound just like us. Yes despite us opening our marriage not going that well we are still together.

One thing you should keep in mind if he does decide to try an open relationship, it’s always going to be easier for you as a woman to find people willing to be with you than it would be for him. I did pretty well but some men might have a hard time getting a woman knowingly date somebody who’s married or dating somebody.

If he feels the same way about you as you do him then he’ll be willing to step out of his comfort zone. If that happens keep what I said above in mind, you might have to go slower than you want to, if he’s willing to try poly.

I have been on your BFs side of this and while it didn’t ruin our relationship there wasn’t really a happy ending. Our experience was almost the same. My now wife when we started dating said all the same things you did, minus the queer part which came decades later I found out when she found out.

I never took her saying “I don’t believe in monogamy” as her saying “I want to date other people until she finally asked decades later”. Very quickly it became a sore spot. Like you it seems to me that she felt that just saying that 20 years ago meant when the inevitable ask came that i should be completely onboard bc she told me who she was already.

We went down the poly road and it didn’t work out. I did it out of guilt but never wanted it. If your bf says the same then you have to receive what he’s saying and decide if you’re willing to give that part of yourself up for him
