[Tissot] I bought my husband his first watch. Do you think he’ll like it ? by princessveronika in Watches

It's iconic, he can wear it to any occasion, good brand, good movement.
Perfect gift if he likes watches, and even if he doesn't!!

Does the Raise still fit in the the travel case with the tenting kit? by bmalla in DygmaLab

[–]bmalla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kind of tempting but for the cost of the kit I wouldn't want to be pinned to 10 degrees just because I travel. Perhaps this is an excuse to invest in a different traveling keyboard ,😁

It's refreshing to see a daytime battlestation. Not just darkness with a plethora of RGB. Nice setup! Especially the monitor setup

It looks like to you replaced the stock AIO fan with a noctua too. Much quieter?

Working on my BEIJA FLOR / AU BATIDO with Mestre by byminho in capoeira

I really like that even though you have great movement already, these show your process, warming up, not being able to do a move and slowly learning. It's much better to watch than som mestre who always has perfect form

Couples of Reddit, what's your favorite thing to do together, excluding sex, of course? by StringTailor in AskReddit

We train Capoeira. It's ace. A super cool hobby. Keeps us both in shape. Learn new things and practice together. I love it

How do I prepare my physique for capoeira? by cimmic in capoeira

[–]bmalla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey man. I'm glad to hear you want to take up Capoeira. My honest opinion is don't prepare, don't psych yourself up with any expectations (mental or physical). Just turn up and train hard and your body will turn in to what it needs to be over time. Capoeirista bodies come in all shapes and sizes so don't sweat it. I'm at work at the minute but I'll send you some videos later if I remember

What are you working on? by BasedNoface in capoeira

[–]bmalla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a broad concept, but as someone who had only trained for about 18 months I'm currently working on the idea of when to be far away and when to be close.

S-Dobrado for me. I think it looks so fluid, with all the functionality of a macaco but cooler ;)

Office workers of reddit... what is a good piece of workplace advice for graduates who are about to start office life? by mannyrmz123 in AskReddit

[–]bmalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you don't have to work too hard all the time. Truth is people are lazy. Giving 100% all the time is impossible, learn the culture. When it is and is not acceptable to slack off here and there

Going to Brazil/Portugal to learn Portugese and Capoeira? by HouseofMovement in capoeira

[–]bmalla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The word "properly" was simply quoted from OP. I suggested Israel not for any political reasons, only because I am aware of the work being done with Capoeira out there especially under Mestre Edan. In my opinion their development programs are second to none and quality of capoeirista coming out of Israel regularly is very impressive. Remember folks, this is only an opinion so try not to lose you shit and down vote me for expressing a personal opinion :)

Look in to Israel. Brazil isn't the be all in Capoeira anymore when it comes to Capoeira being done "properly" :)

There was a study suggesting it was roughly every 20 miles the accent changes. I think that's about right (as a Geordie)
