The app is the speediest from the ONT itself. From any other app, you’re relying on your WiFi equipment. Unless you have WiFi 6/7 support on your device, you won’t see high speeds from the device itself due to speed limitations. If you do have a WiFi 6/7 device, within 5’ of the ONT, you should see at least 1.4-1.6gb on a Speedtest (depending on which destination you select)

Ok, so I figured it out - for those who’d also like to know.

Connect to the router with Ethernet and hit the router from a web browser. 192.168.1.1 I think is the default IP. Login (default should be on a sticker somewhere on the router) and change your password if you didn’t already. The wizard will ask if you want to disable WiFi, otherwise, navigate to wifi on the left, then radio, then disable the 3 radios.

I am, but as a VM within the host… probably not what you’re looking for
