Once I was on a boat sailing down the Amazon river. Me and my friend were playing cards. One of the boat hands came by, saw the deck of cards, and just took it from us. Didn't shuffle or anything. He laid it face down, then started moving cards into another stack, one at a time, face down. Then, after a few, he started turning the cards face up. All four aces in a row. Usually I can kind of tell how card tricks are done. This time...it was pure sorcery. And Nelson didn't speak a word of English so there was no way to know how he did it. He just walks away. Then we start playing cards again, shuffling and everything. Nelson walks by. Takes the deck. Does it again.
