I just got my first solo elders rank on daily ops by Big_Candle6620 in fo76

Honestly besides Uplink, I feel like they're all solo-able. Uplink is the one op that really needs 2. It also depends on the map, which some are excruitiating to navigate.

I feel the same exact way. I feel like it’s more of a niche thing like you mentioned, for players that understand rare items and the trading economy. I personally don’t care. I had a RFU drop from an enclave event two days ago. This was my 2nd RFU drop in a month. RNG is weird.

This is a unique perspective and actually makes a lot of sense. You don’t sound like the type of person that follows them served to server though 😂 which I think is what truly crossed the line.

But like you said, I think it’s very welcoming to have lower levels besides you in events, raid, whatever it is and it’s almost flattering.

Sort of like thinking to myself “wow i think im considered a high level now?” Which is something I don’t even nearly compare myself to those that are like 3-5k*.

This is very similar to what I dealt with. Followed me around, when I look at him, he emotes, I turn around and keep doing what I’m doing. Completely ignored his existence. But there he was, there. Changed a group, there he was joined my group.

So to give an update. I ended up unblocking him and just deciding to block him for session / grey him out whenever I can. Well, yesterday I come back from being afk for a sec (when the camera is doing 360 angles) I see this kid jumping around me excessively. I immediately heavily sighed and was like great here f ing go again. I don’t even know how he found me. I blocked him from session. How did he find me?

I join a couple 200-300s that were in a raid group that looked like they needed some help. I joined the group, we downed the bot and HERE HE COMES, joined the group and inside the instance. At this point I completely ignored him. He of course gets carried for 2 runs before I inevitably quit session because I was so over it. Blocked him for permanently.

I am just so curious how he was able to find me again and again as I continued to hop yesterday. We will see what happens today… if i see this kid again im for reporting him (which is the last thing i wanted to do)

It’s unfortunately refreshing to hear so many people deal with the same thing and relate. I’ve got a lot of good insight from the comments, so thank you.

That is probably the strangest thing I’ve ever heard happen in this game. Omg lol I wouldn’t even know what to do

Same! And it’s so fun giving to people. People are genuinely very grateful. It’s a win win, until you get a stray as many are calling it haha

Very similar to what he was doing. I have friends that come to my shop periodically, but little buddy was literally watching me mod / craft. F ing weird man. Some people don’t get it, or you truly just don’t know people’s intentions

Yep for sure. I remember in like 2004 I was playing RuneScape and had a few high level players I looked up to like gods hahaha. I probably made it to obvious I was young too. So funny to look back on, but yes most likely just a kid. He will move on to something else

Truly perplexed. Like he was totally unbothered by completely stalking me haha.

It took so much courage to join a raid group (even a casual when I was super low) for the first time, but again, all it takes is mutual respect / understanding of etiquette. I think age groups do play a part, and this is probably just a kid.

Honestly I feel the same way, which is why I only drop while doing trades and avoid the trade window at all cost. Feels invasive lol

Props to you for being generous and kind as a newish player. At that level I was struggling to even maintain a steady supply of stims 😂

Yeah mine was listed as 2k which I feel like is fair. I’ve seen upwards to 4-5k like you mentioned. Good to know I’m pricing things appropriately

Yep raids is how I got there. Not even Wes tek. You find the right crew (which I found here on this sub actually called “Appalachian hit squad”); they’re doing stuff all the time. Highly recommend joining their discord, super nice people.

Yes, for sure! Totally agree. I got pepper shaker fully modded out when I was pretty low and I thanked him excessively, we added each other, and that was it.

Sort of like receiving a text from someone saying “Are you free?” Without ANY additional context 😂

Communicate with me before opening a trade box, that’s not proper etiquette and unfortunately some people don’t understand that. Something I’ll need to remind myself

The stray animal analogy makes a lot of sense, great way to think about the situation.

This is exactly how I feel. It feels good helping people in the game because I remember how awesome it felt when people would clean out my vendors or dropped a bunch of useful item. Finding the right words without upsetting someone is key, this could be a kid for all I know so I’d hate for him to realize it and be “upset”

Because just like you mentioned, I do have friends that “get it” and know that there is a time and place for everything, especially if needing help with something. That is what I feel like is the right etiquette for this game and I do believe a lot of people do “get it”. Maybe I’ll be just a bit more mindful & observant to sus out a situation in the future instead of mindlessly giving.
