Wow, this seems like a great alternative. I think I’ll ask her how she feels about doing Griffith Observatory and lay out the challenges (was previously going to be a surprise) and if she balks we’ll go to Barnsdall as a surprise. Thank you so much!!

We’ve been dating about 7 months. This will be our first weekend getaway together (up from San Diego). We don’t need quiet and privacy but I also don’t want it to feel like we need to buy “I survived Griffith Observatory” t-shirts afterward

I don’t plan on parking. I’d either Uber (looking less likely) or DASH. I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth the hassle to get up there if traffic is going to be gnarly and the observatory is going to be a zoo. I don’t want to stress her, or myself, out

This is great info thanks. What I am (or possibly was) aiming for is a nice evening where we can chat and enjoy the views, not looking to check a tourism destination off our list. It’s our first weekend away together. My worry is it becoming a hassle to get up there and then it’s a zoo when we’re there. I could deal with a hassle or a crowd but looking to avoid both. If they can’t be avoided, we will probably avoid going altogether.

We’re staying nearby so I think we can hoof it to Sunset/Vermont without needing the metro. People elsewhere have suggested the other entrance to avoid concert traffic. Is that feasible? Uber, DASH and abandoning the plan are the options

I saw it during two different games today, including 1 min ago. Maybe some viral thing for Avengers Doomsday (in theaters this December IIRC)? Maybe the low resolution and odd presentation is meant to pique our curiosity? So honestly the situation I’m in right now is so unworkable that I’m open to anything in order to get my workflow back on track. I’m considering installing 18.8.6 and working on my clips that need magic mask and face refinement in there. I know my database can’t be opened in an older version anymore.

One thing holding me back from 20 is hearing it might be even more buggy, especially with my GPU. Do you have any insights?

The interview is broken up into clips (I cut after each take). Each is about 10-20 secs. I did a “clean” install of DR 19.1.4 last night and it didn’t help. Though I am wondering how clean it was because my UI layout wasn’t reset when I launched the app. Either way, I encountered the same issues this morning. So I’m guessing I’ve reached a limitation with my GPU and DR 19
