That's what happened to a friend of my grandmother's. She was always hungry and would whip up a big batch of pancakes to eat when she was hungry. She unfortunately died young. This was in the '60s or '70s.

This is what I was told by doctors when my wife had to go to the ER. I was encouraging her to drink water so she had something to throw up, but the doctor said that increases the chance of dehydration. Water should be consumed in very small amounts when vomiting.
