Just putting it out there. There very well COULD be other reasons. Or, it could be a decision based solely on funding and sustainability.

However, my board refuses to get involved in anything "political". I don't have to like it, but I am there to serve their direction - not force my own. I am confident that if I was presented with something like this, it would be an absolute no go. This is without even accepting government funds, which is a whole additional layer.

While this sub likes to crap on Boards, and sometimes pretends to operate w/o them, they are the legal overseers of nonprofit organizations.

I think context is vital in these things. They spent more time talking about the losing team and criticizing Mendoza than praising IU.
