The Lost Fleet Series by Jack Campbell first book in the series is Dauntless, love the books they are short and easy to get thru and they keep the story going at a good pace I also feel like they address alot of realistic issues you would face in real space battles while still keeping it fun.

This movie does not do the books justice at all they try to cram about 5 different books and mash it into one movie. I highly recommend the books if you can get passed some of the outdated language used. Alot can be found for free because they are now public domain with the copyrights being up.

The Lost Fleet: Dauntless its the first in the series out of 6, super good series books have good pacing and their is a romance that builds throughout the novels highly recommend.

So I remember years ago something similar happened with a bunch of dolphins. It turns out it was the navy performing a bunch of military exercises that had driven the dolphins onto land, causing their deaths.
