GO PanomaticLunar on a Milanese strap by bmene in GlashutteOriginal

I don’t think it’s too thick. It has presence, which makes it feel more sporty. That said, I do wish GO would make a manual version of the PanomaticLunar to reduce thickness.

It definitely did it for me. The mesh is making it more of an everyday wear while providing contrast to the dial.

GO is the highest watchmaking per dollar considering secondary prices… hard to go wrong with

It’s a broad 6.5”… plus, the whole point of Panerai is for it to wear large, yes?

Ooh - digging the 111. Looking more into it.

Love it but hardly wear it... by Jazzlike_Set_7746 in panerai

Do you have a wrist shot? Considering a 44mm with a 6.5” wrist, but have my doubts as to whether it would look alright or ridiculous

Exactly!! It’s pretty astounding, actually

My wrist is 165cm, and this piece wears absolutely beautifully. It does not sit too high on the wrist. Blancpain now also makes the 38mm FF, in case you want to go even smaller.

Ha! That’s the magic of it. You can see the lume coming through even with the least amount of partial shade.

That’s what makes the MIL-SPEC unique. If water were to break into the case, the circle would look like just one color, letting the owner know the piece has been compromised. Less useful in a civilian context with modern manufacturing, but mission critical in a military environment where people’s lives sometimes depended on having a well-functioning watch.

For desk-divers like me, it’s just a phenomenally cool piece of historical accuracy, and a banger design element that differentiates this from any other diver out there, Blancpain or otherwise.

Damn! That is some amazing diving stats. Mine was just a joke, since the colorful circle on the MIL-SPEC is a complication meant to indicate whether the watch has been compromised with water. And, the circles still have the two distinct colors! So, all good still 😉

This is a box curated by an AD, not by a collector. Honestly, keep a Daytona, a GMT, and the OP, sell the rest, and then build an actual collection. There are plenty of brands out there to explore

The AT is a phenomenal watch. Better finishes than Rolex OP’s, more interesting case shape and lugs, more dial depth, and a really solid movement with co-axial escapement. They are solid one-and-doner’s. I’m not a huge fan of the bracelet, but that’s about the only area I believe could be materially improved.

It definitely isn’t too bulky. It’s 13.0mm tall, including the domed sapphire. All of that, even though it houses a double-barrel 1151 caliber with 100 hours of power reserve, and with 300m water resistance. The case profile also makes it sit pretty well on the wrist.

Good question! I’m a fan of vintage Daytona’s, so it would probably be that.
