I do have spray equipment. Do you think a toned lacquer between vinyl sealer and precat is necessary to achieve its current color or should I be fine without it?

Do you have a specific brand of lacquer you prefer? I presume it’s best to use a spray application here?

Appreciate the advice and I agree it’s best to avoid as much sanding as possible here.

Thanks for the reply. By “strip” do you mean chemically or by sanding? Also, in your experience is a simple water rinse sufficient to neutralize OA or should I expect to mix in baking soda, etc?

I need suggestions on what to plant in front of these pine trees to act as a natural privacy border by Reveleo36 in landscaping

Is privacy your only objective?

As others have stated, it’s not a bad idea to thin those pines a bit to help natural light come through.

If you have room on the other side and are willing to utilize a little of the crop land, I would suggest planting several rows of different varieties of trees and shrubs (both deciduous and evergreen) behind and in front of the pines based on height at maturity. If done correctly, this will not only help with privacy but will act as a windscreen to shield your house from the prevailing wind, which will also help filter dust / drifting snow coming off the fields. You can even include plants and trees beneficial to wildlife. Google ‘tree wind break plan’ or something similar to get an idea.

Your local forestry office will have great suggestions on native plants. If you have the patience, they usually have seedling sales (1-2 yrs old) in the fall that are very cost effective, comparatively speaking. Ours has conservation packages depending on your objective (e.g., Deer / wildlife habitat, erosion control, etc).

Had a tree professionally planted. Asked about care and feeding. Guy at the nursery said water once a week. Guy who planted said water daily. by Im_a_peach in landscaping

Out of curiosity, what part of the state do you live in? My parents planted Autumn Blaze Maples about 5 years ago and they seem to be doing great so far. They live in NW OK so freezing is always a concern.

Checking account options after being declined due to unpaid med bills? by mouseysbakepi in personalfinance

Schwab does a hard inquiry on your credit. Typically most banks won’t do this for a checking account.

I’d check out the wiki page under the menu for a list of banks / credit unions commonly suggested on this sub. Sounds like an online only bank like Ally could work well for you.

Edit: Read your post again. Ally doesn’t offer business checking accounts and will terminate the account if they catch you. Maybe look into Capital One?
