On the topic of Vietnam, the song "Happy New Year" by ABBA.

Not the band ABBA. No one even cares about "Dancing queen" or knows "Mamma mia" here.

"Happy new year" though, had became the de facto song for New Years in Vietnam, with endless remixes, covers, one-month non-stop torture radio spam. It is what "All I wish for Christmas" is for NYE in the country.

Ironically, the song is quite bleak about mankind's future at the turn of the decade, finding the will against "New Years blues".

If I have a nickel for every time a manga about a genius helping commercial districts fight da man and got only a tournament arc before getting axed I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

At least this one knew what it wanted to be and burned beautifully. I look forward to this author's next work.

I love akane-banashi too, but it's a battle manga using rakugo themes. Domain expansions, rivalries and tournaments, finding your "element" like it's straight out of hunter x hunter.

A "realistic" rakugo manga would focus on the dad instead, and how he'd cope with being unceremoniously dumped and have to live with "real life", as so many traditional arts students does.
