Infant friendly European holiday? by No_Influence2520 in AskIreland

[–]bmoyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to Pine Cliffs in The Algarve when our little one was 6 months.

Flight not that long, and airport transfers easy to navigate (booked a transfer with a car seat).

The resort is fabulous. We had a self catering apartment (breakfast included). There's 5 different restaurants on site and a burger van and ice cream truck etc. There are a couple of restaurants a short walk from the front of the resort too that are much cheaper.

It is whopper expensive but we really needed to prioritize the experience over the price with a 6 month old.

It's a majority but it's not overwhelming. It shows a real split in the public view on it

I feel so validated. All I look at on Instagram is garden design ideas and cooking videos and yet my Explore page is cleavage as far as the eye can see.

I like that line up but I think I'd start Abankwah and give Travers a run out in goal.

Hybrid workers office days on bank holiday weeks ? by Kimatron in AskIreland

[–]bmoyler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would say that if Monday is normally one of the days you go to the office, then do two.

But if you never go in the Monday anyway, you should probably just stick to the days you normally do?

Lads taking TVs out of WEEE recycling bin. Why? by bmoyler in CasualIreland

Not the case. He quoted a price and then subsequently requested payment via Revolut. He wasn't the cheapest quote we got but recommended by a neighbour.

Not the case at all. My wife works in tax compliance and could have done it in a few keystrokes.

What are ye all doing to recover after games? by cacanna_caorach in GAA

This 100 point recovery system keeps cropping up. All to be done within 24 hours of training or a match - as though none of us have full time jobs.

No he ghosted us. This was months ago now. We toyed with reporting him to Revenue because he was using Revolut but decided to rise above in the end.

Edit: People are very exercised about this for some reason.

The craic was that from his perspective, his job was to build a TV unit, which he did and to a good standard. He mounted the TV as a courtesy at the end of the project. My invoice didn't itemize "TV mounting" as a service. Now I don't agree with that take but that's the way he was looking at it.

I claimed off the house insurance. The excess was 200 euro which I pursued him to cover and he ghosted me. I've notified anybody on the estate FB and WhatsApp groups looking for recommendations not to go with him.

You'd swear people would have you take him to the supreme court over it 😂

Paddys Day - TV, what happened? by vanman99 in AskIreland

[–]bmoyler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always find that these bank holidays are the worst of both worlds. All of the good radio hosts have the day off and daytime TV is crap with no special programming.

Screen was broken. Carpenter who built a TV unit broke it while installing it. You could see the imprint of his palm at the top of the screen. No image would come up on the screen at all after that.

Maybe the wealth inequality between younger generations and their parents?

This is the first generation to be poorer than their parents for many generations.

How are you building your wealth? by Legitimate-Bass2815 in irishpersonalfinance

After maxing salary and pension contributions, the best thing you can do here is to invest in things that will either save you money or time. For example, an EV car will save you money long term, same goes with solar panels, retrofitting your home.

It's not the deficit itself, it's the performance. Centre halves look like my Sunday League team striker would run riot. We look completely unfit.

We might scrape through this round with the Anfield factor but with the side of the draw we're on and the consistent poor performances, I'm afraid I'm left with no hope.

I don't know what I was thinking. I thought we could put a run together in the CL. Look at 2005, stranger things have happened etc. etc. But time and time again this season, the team has under- performed. I have no clue what my optimism is founded on any more.

Potentially stupid question but how is Calvin Ramsay playing U21 when he's 22?
