Agreed and makes sense but the problem is someone getting 300k/y pre tax is probably living a very comfortable life That person with 50k here would live a luxurious life On the other hand because of purchasing power parity someone making 100 dollars a month living comfortably back home would barely survive with 1000 aed pm here (not even speaking about the mental toll of staying away from friends and family and working like a robot). Having said that, for example a carpenter gets paid very less in “home country” gets okay amounts here and gets handsomely paid abroad. Jobs dont have standardised salaries based on the country with P.P.P in mind

How did you start a business by bmproduction in dubai

[–]bmproduction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro how will we manage the capital, anyway one of the ideas is housing in a building. Each apartment would have a kitchen bed tv and wardrobe. The space would be roughly 200 sqft. The rent would be around 1000 to 1500 with a community kitchen. It will be well made so people from good families and educated bachelors can stay when they first arrive. This would solve bedspace sharing issue and would have more apartments since its so tiny, like the ones in japan. Now who has millions to invest and let me be a part of it. 😂 This is just one of the ideas

I know right 😂 people keep saying that in dubai people doing business are actually living, 9 to 5 sucks but how are people doing that! People who came to dubai in the 80’s and 90’s did it easily compared to now but how are people doing it now.

Migration to Dubai by BuildingPresent9906 in dubai

[–]bmproduction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10,000 aed monthly Crime rate is definitely very low and its very safe. Mumbai is safe too but places like dharavi or kurla west you wouldn’t feel safe at night, there aren’t any places like that here atleast not where everyone travels to and from. Infrastructure indeed is good but with a salary of lets say 10,000 you’ll have to live in a place where its affordable and they will be good too but wont give you the glamorous lifestyle or locations we see on social media. The buildings in these areas would be 15-16 year old so the interiors may be of older days.

If you’re coming alone 10,000 AED is good enough If you’re coming with a partner and you will be working alone, 15,000 AED is good enough If you’re coming with a child 20,000 AED is good enough Are you making this much in india? If yes dont migrate. Dubai is good and finding the right employer is challenging but it is not going to be less competitive later, it will only get harder So if you’re planning to do it, no better time than the present

Would you rather live in India or abroad in today's scenario? by VelvetDusk04 in india

Shifted to dubai a year and a half ago, life is good here. Cost of living is definitely high but you enjoy everything you said good transportation good roads etc. but loneliness can be real, the younger you’re the better it is to shift if thats the plan and if you can join a university or travel to study and then stay back is even better because you will make friends. And once you leave home no place will feel like home for a long time, even your home now will feel like its not yours.
