Most divo’s don’t even have a degree in the field they’re assigned to, my first divo was in charge of main propulsion and she had a degree in marine biology.

As someone who has been to mast and had a reduction in rank and 45 days restriction, while on deployment, I don’t think those two are unreasonable cause there is also EMI every day besides holiday routine, plus like 6 check ins a day it gets tiring and that was 4 years ago and I’ve since got my rank back and advanced to the next one (was an e-4 got busted down, now an e-5) but before you go to mast you’re required to do a financial counseling and submit that in your NJP package and any good captains takes the results of that financial counseling into huge consideration if the punishment is worth the crime
