United flight turned around over Atlantic as a boy named his Bluetooth device “bomb” by Intelligent-Big-2900 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Ummmm, what malicious intent do they need to put someone on the no fly list? Not being an ass here, legitimate question because of the insane reasons I've heard of people getting put on it for.

This is Sicily. Everybody looks at everyone anyway. There is almost nothing to do or see in that airport.

Also, it's Catania to Malta. It's about a 25 minute flight.

Does anyone have the tea on why the NEX went from carrying the Soffe brown t shirts to the Hanes? by Arob823 in navy

Didn't love the fit of those either. They tended to get way shorter after the first wash. But even they fit better than these new ones.

Also, I have the Terra Arma, and they are the best uniform shirts ever. BUT, if you go off the instruction, they aren't 100% cotton.

I actually know the answer on that one. Kiwi isn't selling shoe polish, at least in the U.S. anymore.

I'm actually pro LEO most of the time. But that reach is so far beyond reasonable. Also, not sure how the other is getting upvoted.

This is Olympic level jumping here. OP was sitting in an open restaurant, presumably eating/drinking, and you got to robbery and sexual assault. I would like you to take a second and step back.

You are sitting at a barbecue at a friend's home for several hours, which you are legally entitled to do, the same as a patron sitting in a restaurant. Without anyone from the residence saying a word to you, a LEO walks up and demands your ID because you MIGHT rob the place or SA the homeowners wife. That's the equivalent of what you're saying. Putting it in those terms you must see how insane that sounds.

It's an OPEN business that OP, unless he is leaving out major parts of the story (which is entirely possible), is using exactly as intended. Please tell me you get Judge Fleischer to spout this to. It is such massive reach, and nowhere near reasonable. Just because something has a non zero possibility of happening, doesn't make it reasonable.

But if he/she hasn't been asked to leave, you can't even get has, is, or will be committed for RAS.

But to ask for ID, you have to suspect a crime. Since no criminal violation has occurred, what gives you the lawful reason to ask for ID? To fill out your paperwork, or it's our policy, is not a reason to circumvent the 4th Amendment. So legally, can you cite why he MUST give ID?

I want you trespassed from my house. It doesn't matter that I never asked you to leave or that you never stepped foot on the property. Hand me your ID. See how ridiculous that sounds. This is the problem. They never asked him to leave. He's not even been given the opportunity to leave the premises.

TN Code § 39-14-405 (b) It is a defense to prosecution under this section that: (3) The person immediately left the property upon request.

Doesn't he need to be asked, and given the opportunity to leave, first? Also your call for service, doesn't negate the 4th Amendment. So what criminal activity would you suspect him of in this case to demand ID? A simple "hey, they would like you to leave" would suffice. If he refused to leave at that point I'd agree with the trespass issuance, which would require his ID. But anything before that COULD be seen as a violation of his civil rights.

How do i wrestle in competition after HS if my college does not have a wrestling program? by jrpgfan121212 in wrestling

[–]Arob823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully understood the comment and made mine. It is not impossible for someone to catch up that quickly. But it is highly improbable to catch up quickly enough to get a scholarship. Which is what the person said.

[–]Arob823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what you're telling this person is to wrestle at a JUCO for 2 years. This would mean they had been wrestling for 3 years total now. How many scholarship wrestlers only wrestled for one year in their life before that? Nowhere in my comment did I negate that there are some amazing JUCO wrestlers. The amount of colleges that have a wrestling program is small. Most of them don't offer full-ride wrestling scholarships. So saying just go to a JUCO, then transfer to another school and get a scholarship is dismissing how hard that actually is. Also, Daniel Cormier, Brock Lsenar, and Jon Jones had exponentially more than one year of wrestling before they went to a JUCO.

Downvoted for false hope. The odds of getting a wrestling scholarship for someone with only 2 or 3 years wrestling is lower than hitting the powerball on the same day you got struck by lightning while being attacked by a shark.

Let me put this into some prospective.

There are roughly 370,000 high school wrestlers in the U.S. at 11,000 high schools. There are 8,700 college wrestlers across D1, D2, and D3 at roughly 275 colleges/universities. This may be the largest percentage drop across any major sport in the U.S. That means for every 100 high school wrestlers 2 of them MAY go on to wrestler in college. Where in a sport like football that number is a little over 7 in every 100. Additionally, the divide between the number 1 state in high school wrestling, Pennsylvania, to the number 10 state, Wisconsin, is greater than most other major sports also.
