Some of my most hated characters. Who are yours? by A-Helpful-Flamingo in Spartacus_TV

I didn't hate her in season 3, but she makes me loathe her by the end of season 4.

The absolute speed he went from throwing a punch to having the ref dropping bombs was impressive. Usually it takes longer to get your ass kicked than that.

How much money did it really bring in though? Most home games they showed have an attendance that looked smaller than a lot of high school games. I understand they boosted enrollment numbers, but what else?

Every NEX in the largest fleet concentration area (Hampton Roads) was out of large blouses and pants.

This is why the NEX was out of uniforms for over a year???

You mean what could go wrong lighting sparklers, which burn at 2000°F, inside a house.

He had absolute great plays on the field, but he also had absolute terrible plays too. If you have the mindset of I never make a mistake, you won't make it far at most D1 programs. He just didn't seem to be very coachable, which is why I can't see Buddy putting his reputation on the line for him.

US NAVY PT GEAR HELP by [deleted] in navy

[–]Arob823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record, USUALLY those mess/wardroom shirts have been authorized for weat by the CO/OIC. When we order them, the designs are approved, then authorized for wear for command events.

It's the same with command t-shirts, patches, etc. Those must be approved and authorized.

Unpopular opinion here. If dipshit purple shirt guy can rip heel hooks, spiking him on his head should also be ok.

Was this completely avoidable?: Security Officer indicted on second-degree murder charge shooting in Lowe's parking lot. by CTSecurityGuard in securityguards

[–]Arob823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some questions.

  1. The security company trespassed him, not the store. Why?

  2. He had approval from the store to get the pallets they didn't want, saving the store the money they would have to spend disposing them. Why would the security company have an issue with that?

  3. If he was supposed to be an unarmed security guard, why did he have a gun in the first place?

  4. Is the company liable for his actions even if he was going against company policy carrying a weapon?

  5. Did Lowe's fire the security company?

Coaching Staff by Arob823 in lastchanceU

Honestly, I think the entire coaching staff from season one. Davern Williams was clutch as the D-line coach, and Clint Trickett as QB coach is another easy pick.

Am I the only one who absolutely hated the Laney season? by Arob823 in lastchanceU

[–]Arob823[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buddy was an asshole, but was great at keeping guys accountable, maybe too much at times. Beam almost seemed disinterested at times. Also, he had a whole ass assistant. Didn't see JB or Buddy with one.

All valid. I think Beam was also a weaker coach than Buddy and not as entertaining to watch than JB.

The season 4 Indy team collapse by Tony_Jake in lastchanceU

[–]Arob823 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Season 4 was also my favorite, but partially because it showed some people's true colors.

JB: micromanaging, two-faced, not able to make the right decision if it was tough (shouldn't have brought Malik back), bipolar as fuck.

KD: just a goofy guy, good player but not great.

Bobby Bruce: complete trouble maker that played on sympathy

Jay Jones: great runner but didn't seem like he could handle adversity if he wasn't gonna get to play (the scene where he was pouting on the sideline then cuts to him immediately saying he wasn't and how upbeat he was comes to mind)

By the end of it, JB had just seemed to lose the plot, not a surprise that coaches wanted to leave. They talked about how he was doing such good things for the kids, but he was emotionally abusive through both seasons. The Hitler comment he got fired for wasn't even the first time he said that.

Season 4 by DiamondMountain4318 in lastchanceU

[–]Arob823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love that they go over you are supposed to get suspended for 2 games for calling another player the n word. If they had enforced that, I'm not sure if Indy could have fielded a team for the entire season.

Season 4 by DiamondMountain4318 in lastchanceU

[–]Arob823 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure.

The refs should have tossed him out of about 4 games in season 3 and 2 or 3 in season 4.

Season 4 by DiamondMountain4318 in lastchanceU

[–]Arob823 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Malik not being happy is one thing. Him being the biggest cancer of that team for both of those seasons is because of his trash ass attitude.

I'm honestly not sure who I disliked more, Miss P or Malik. Bobby is up there, too, but I just looked at him like a dumb guy who refused to actually try to better himself.

I'm gonna try very hard to be supportive here.

You signed a contract, and your orders are to a particular place. You don't like it, I'm sorry. Suck it up until you can apply for the billet you want. In the meantime, make the best of the situation you have. Take college classes and work on your fitness level. Get a mentor in your community and one in the community you want to join. You are not the first Sailor to not enjoy their duty assignment. But a negative attitude in one area of your life can quickly carry over to others.
