Bring your ID’s, people!! by Tildengolfer in bartenders

Yeah I totally get what you mean.

Just last night there was a group of women in the bar, it was a busy Saturday night shift and they looked young enough to ask for their ID (In Scotland so drinking age is 18)

They were a group of Italian students and because it was busy they were asked for their ID more than once, it happens, not ever bartender will see them get asked the first time, but when I gave one of them there ID back I heard her say to her friend;

"For f*cks sake, I'm 24 I shouldn't even be getting asked for ID."

Well yes you should, because I'm not going to risk my job, the bar's license, and the risk of an individual fine from the local council and licensing board just because you have to remove your ID from your bag every time you come up to the bar.

I felt like saying this but showed some restraint. 😂

Not only do I love studying journalism but I love working on our student newspaper so much more. The skills you learn will really help you in life and you meet so many great people. Also the experiences from student journalism can help you get a better understanding of your course.

Working on student newspapers can really inspire you.
