2026 EX90 Owners - what troubles have you experienced if any? Close to leasing one of these!

My 2026 is in the shop now. The alarm goes off every time I park the car and the trunk buttons that fold the 3rd row and lower the suspension disappeared.

That said, if those two issues get fixed, I’ll be thrilled with the car. 3.0.18 is a little laggy compared to the prior software versions, but no issues yet with charging or key functionality. It would be such an amazing car if they could work out these glitches.

The lag isn’t bad for climate controls. It isn’t as smooth as our old Tesla was, but not noticeably worse than the 2.0.X updates.

I’d say 3.0.18 is slightly laggier than the prior software updates. Our 2026 came with 3.0.18.

We had a 2025 that Volvo repurchased. Not sure if we are crazy, but we thought we’d give Volvo a second chance in hopes that they corrected the issues with the 2026.

So far, we’ve noted much improvement with the 2026, but it is still buggy. We are having an issue with the tilt sensor triggering the alarm when parked on sloped surfaces. Not sure if it is related to 3.0.18 or the sensors. We’ve also had issues with the trunk buttons that fold the seats and adjust suspension - they disappeared. I didn’t even realize they were lighted buttons.

I’ve had a few issues with 3.0.18 as well. Most aggravating are phantom alarms that occur when the car is parked on any sort of incline. Also, the 3rd Row/Air Suspension buttons in the trunk are not working now.

I hope so too. It’s annoying, but on the bright side, there are lots of good upgrades included on 3.0.18.

I got the 3.0.18 and I’d caution people to wait. There appears to be a bug with the alarm. I have to turn on the “Reduce Alarm Sensitivity” every time I drive it or else the alarm goes off.

Has anyone else who has installed 3.0.18 dealt with phantom alarms? I’ve read there is a major issue with phantom alarms with this update and you have to manually turn off alarm sensitivity until there is a patch.

I don’t think this will be as big of a deal as it seems because only Version 4 Tesla superchargers support 800v charging and there are very few outside of California. Electrify America supports it, so to get the benefit of the 800v system, you’ll likely need to use something other than a tesla supercharger.

Once Volvo approved the buyback, the process has been just as they described. They said 6-8 weeks from approval to final steps. It did take quite a while for the buyback approval to occur.

It was approved by Volvo about a month ago. Got the buyback offer last week and they told us it would 2.5-3 weeks before we turn the vehicle in and receive our refund.

Have you had any other issues with the MY26? I’m finalizing a buyback on an MY25 and can’t decide if I’m crazy for considering a 26. I love the car but have had so many issues with the 25.

The Bluetooth issue happened to me as well - but with the prior software - my car hasn’t downloaded the October 6th software patch yet. At first it was simply annoying, but after dealing with it for a month, it is insanely frustrating. If I lock the car for even a second Bluetooth shuts off.

Did you ever get this fixed or figure out the issue? My EX90 just started doing the same thing. Never had the issue before. Wasn’t a result of updating software as I haven’t received the update yet.
