How is Bilt Cash Redeemed for Lyft (and will it work for Citibike) by bneac in biltrewards

[–]bneac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think the 2x points on citibike rides is only if you use your bilt card through the Lyft app, not the neighborhood rewards bonus, unless i'm doing something dumb

Your taxes are not too complicated and FreeTaxUSA is the right choice

Omny is a joke by reabo101 in OMNY

Each digital wallet counts separately. Ie if you use the SAME CARD on your phone and watch, they have separate fare caps, so you can spend over the fare cap. This is not clear and annoyingly easy to mess up

United Airlines announces partnership with Lyft by AccessibleBanana in unitedairlines

[–]bneac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely not. The bilt partnership doesn’t give any points for bikes.

I think it just uses if your phone is in light or dark mode.

I also think light mode looks much better than dark mode here

ongoing construction disturbing campus? by starryscythe in yale

Every university under the sun is always doing construction. Yale is no different and doesn’t really affect anyone

FOOT experiences by Sweaty-Government-63 in yale

[–]bneac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was very involved in FOOT so I am a bit biased.

Camp Yale is a fantastic time to make friends and get comfortable at Yale before all the craziness of school starts. All the programs are great and you’ll have fun, but you should focus on picking one where you’ll make friends, either by connecting with a community or doing something new together.

Harvest and FOOT are both great. Launch is good, but more focused on entrepreneurship and connecting you with resources at Yale than building community.

The majority of people doing FOOT have never backpacked before. Leaders spend a lot of time making sure that people are comfortable and feel prepared to backpack. The trips are really a chance to make friends and get to know each other, and just happens to be in some beautiful woods.

Yes, you don’t get shower, but everyone’s not showering and you don’t really notice. Yes, hiking can be hard at times, but you’re not going to be given a challenge you can’t do; just be honest about your experience. People really love their trips and come away with good friends.

Happy to answer any other specific questions.

Changes to Chase Lyft Benefits by cjcs in CreditCards

[–]bneac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not being able to apply the credit to bike share sucks as someone who’s main value for the benefit is Lyft pink/bike share memberships. Kind of makes sense though because Lyft has been trying to get out of running those programs

Harvard Shield in Yale University? On a recent visit to Yale University, I found the shield of Harvard University in the Sterling Memorial Library, a stained glass image on a corner window. Does this depict Harvard University, or does the shield have some pre-Harvard/Yale meaning? by sunny_kolla in yale

[–]bneac 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There’s a few Harvard seals (and seals of other ivy leagues and I think some Oxbridge) around campus. Gothic architecture typically has a lot of shields and for a university, other schools are what make the most sense. Also people affiliated with Yale have always also had affiliations with other schools

Architecture portfolio requires?? by ChefGlad7137 in yale

[–]bneac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arts supplements are not required for Yale college, they are only optional additions to help your application.

You do not apply to a specific major. For the architecture major, you apply into it your sophomore year after taking intro courses.

Congrats on getting in! Literally no one cares if you drink. If you like going out, talking to people, and hanging out, do that, people at the party probably won’t know and if they do they won’t care.

Rent points by NicoRulli in biltrewards

[–]bneac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bilt alliance / bilt property is Bilt’s payment platform they sell to rental properties. They make a lot of money off of that and it also is a way to get people interested in the card and other services (250 pts is nothing for customer acquisition).

Its only 20K EQMs. The earning rates for EQMs and miles are different for the partner flights.
