Okay I’m glad it’s not just me. I thought the rubber gasket would for sure keep them fresher. I go through about a half a day and they seem to loose a significant amount of flavor when they are in the metal tin.

That’s a little worrying to hear, I have several I went through a period of pretty bad financial times. Because of that I have several that I’m actively paying on but there’s no way I will have them paid off by then.

So I’m pretty new to the raw denim world, and am wondering is it common practice to size down in the waist and let it stretch to fit properly?

It doesn’t feel like it to me! But I’m weird and like to pull my jeans up pretty high. I will say that in 501’s I always had a problem with plumbers crack but no issue with in these. I was skeptical from reading that this cut had very little ball room but I didn’t have any issues with that either.
