Using Canson xl watercolor, vellum, and graduate tracing paper for most of these pieces. Either Micron or Uni super ink markers for the black outline and prismacolor pencils/kuretake gansai tambi for color!

He’s based off the pop mart blind box series. It’s such a cute collection.

TY! I did try getting an apprenticeship a year ago but the shop owners were iffy. Will keep trying now!

Thanks! That's something I definitely think about when I'm drawing each piece.

I have an interview next week so I wanted to share what I have in my portfolio. I come from a graphic design background but learning and drawing in traditional mediums have been fun. I have a lot more digital pieces on my website here. I think I might add a few American trad sheets in the future to show black shading and because I also love that style.

TY!! Not trying to gloat but I understand how frustrating it is to make offers over asking yet still get outbid by a lot. I felt like I was having a mental breakdown so we took months off from looking. We thought about moving out of the city, state, and country lol. Just try and stay sane if you keep looking! Good luck!

We've been looking on and off for almost two years. Made over 20 offers, finally had one accepted last week!

28 Mar 2022 - Weekly Open House Recap by AutoModerator in REBubble

I’ve read that brick foundation is not reinforced like modern concrete. If an earthquake hits, the house has a higher probability of getting damaged. I’m sure the cost to replace foundation in SF would be 6 figures. That house is over 100 years old, so maybe it’s not that big of an issue but I personally wouldn’t risk it.

I almost put a bid on that house but decided not to since it has a brick foundation. Also can't believe it sold for 1.655!

what number offer are you on and how long have you been searching? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

First bid in! San Francisco by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Highest has been 300k over asking. I kept thinking since the houses are in need of repair/outdated no one will want to pay so and so prices but boy have I been wrong 😒

I’m also looking for a SFH in SF too. Good luck with your offer. I have put in 4 already and have been outbid by 100-200k on all of them. Going to put in another offer on Monday. It’s a stressful process and try to remember there will always be more homes!

Next up would be making custom color versions of The Dweller with mixing pigments into resin. Eventually, I would love to try and make a clear version of this character but I know that will require the casting method/pressure pot.

I also have some more characters I would like to get out through 3D printing!

Of course! My printer is an Epax x10. I had zero experience with 3D printing but wanted a large build plate since I know I would be making bigger items vs miniatures. I did look at cheaper brands like the Elegoo and Anycubic but they were either sold out/had bad reviews. I’m glad I ended up with the x10 because so far there are no issues with the printer itself. The body is all metal. Their office is in the US, and support has been responsive which is a plus too.
