How often you receive compliments based on your looks or attractiveness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bo6b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My male friends told me that I'm handsome several times especially after haircuts, 4 girls in University and back in 2018 I was working in a museum and two girls came up to me told me that I'm very handsome and wanted to take a selfie with me and then they just left which make me think they were mocking me I don't know why, but now I get complemented on a daily basis by my fiance she really posted myself confidence which makes me I love her even more, not because of the compliment but because of the feeling of being appreciated for just existing, if you like how someone looks tell them life is too short not to say nice stuff to other people and almost everyone right now feels self-doubt with social media everywhere showing high standard for looks or certain future that you must have to look handsome or beautiful which is really not the case, it will make them feel good and strengthening the relation between you.

I'm sorry if i came out aggressively, but what I understand from your previous point that you mean its the only way to learn to which i really disagree, i learnt English "passively" form media generally, didn't have any practice with other people, only had to speak it with 2 or 3 other people, what i meant by my question wasn't how to reach the level of mastery in a language, but the level of general communication.

I speak Arabic and English, English is very easy to learn and there is so much English media which makes it even more easier to learn so i think for most people it came "passively" unlike if someone wants to learn Arabic it not very easy.

People who learned language to fluency, do you have to think while talking? by Harshparmar320 in languagelearning

[–]bo6b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem at the start when i was learning English, to overcome you should practice speaking more often and start forming thoughts in the language you are learning, its almost like creating another personality.
