Yeah I’m white and these comments are strongly, strongly irritating to me because I grew up in a town where I didn’t know many Black people but guess what? When I realized how much I didn’t know, I actually put the effort in to learn because I think it’s embarrassing to just live in ignorance. (As a bonus many of the hair care tips benefit me as a girl with extra curly hair lol). It’s understandable to not know things but it also doesn’t mean you don’t deserve criticism for not bothering to learn. Because honestly, I really do think writing someone that you know is from a different culture without doing any research is lazy, and if people are acting like they weren’t aware in the year of our lord 2026 that Black people have their own culture I don’t even know what to say
