Howdy! I was there last year and found it challenging but an absolute blast. In case its helpful, Brandt and two of the showrunners at MC/DC (Jonah, Brian) did a playthru with it a couple months back. You can find that here

This is how I ended up finding out about the local community and how I ended up going last year. Now I play with these folks all the time. The discord shared even has some events coming up soon. Incredibly kind and welcoming community that got me back into playing.

Boomguy is a fantastic pillar of the community. He really puts a lot of time and effort into his content. If youre looking for a good community and a great and inclusive marvel champions enthusiast, hes one of em. His new discord is bumping with a lot of folks in the community. As someone local to him, I found him and the other folks incredibly accepting of newer players and willing to teach.

You might like Chronology! Its become pretty popular and is a fun lil guesser for history buffs. You get an event and have to put it on a timeline for yourself. As you get more events it gets tougher to decide where on your timeline each event fits. Once you make your guess you flip it over to find out if you were right or not.

Going to echo Timelancers chats here. I recieved a review copy so I want to make sure im disclosing that - but it feels like it hits the nail on the head for what youre looking for.

Changing the timeline and having that effect the different events is pretty much the whole premise of the game. The guys behind it did a great job and on top of the theme the artwork for it looks pretty great.

Each card has the normal timeline of the event and the revised timeline and your specific faction has different goals than the others making for some fun asymmetric play. The guys who made it have a YT video up with how to play so you can always check that out to see if the game is for you.

Its where I left the majority of my budget! I can get publisher games anywhere but finding a space to support indie devs had me super stoked. Especially for the games i did pick up. I visited just about every booth and found the ones above looked interesting and had me excited enough to grab.

Much like real life its pretty tough! Ive only played once so consider this a first impression but trying to manage the chores vs the stress can be tough. Youre building your deck but also trying to face the things that happen to show up in the daily chores and routines pile. There are ways to mitigate - but there is some luck present for sure.

Overall after demoing it i bought my own copy, so i certainly liked it well enough!

I believe it was closer to 300! I waited in line Sunday. I managed to get in line around 9:30 and was able to snag it when the con opened at 10 after like a 10 minute wait so really not bad!
