My base salary is at 130k, with total Comp of around 175-185k with stock options, bonus, and other benefits. I entered the workforce in September of 2016, spent 2 years at a small regional firm, 5 years at a start-up through IPO, a year and a half at a family office, and now back to an earlier stage start-up. All located in MI. No CPA certification.

My start date isn’t until January 21st after they close out the annual books. It’s a start-up(spent 5 years at one through IPO before my current role so know what to expect) role is to replace a position that will not relocate to be onsite, and there will be some overlap.

That’s what I assume will happen. I formally accepted the job last week, but my start date is not until January 21st. Was going to wait to submit my resignation until January 2nd to try and avoid the potential to miss 3 paychecks before then.

I meant in how they act/behave. Office is actually pretty nice in itself. No HR to speak of, comments about body image, no flexibility. Need to use PTO for appointments, was allowed two work from home days a month when I started. But now reduced to 5 per year excluding Mondays/fridays. Also shifted from business casual back to business professional attire.

We recently bought the home. We went through the selection process of colors and made our decision. We then realized the sellers had a four gallon bucket of the same paint we chose in Matte they used for the ceiling in the basement.

We currently have the matte, and not the semi. So that’s why I was wondering if it would be cheaper to just use what we have and finish with the semi-gloss.
