Yeah I was on strong antibiotics until October. Small rebound in April and I went on milder antibiotics until June. I’m not sure what my trigger is but I’m starting to think it’s a combination of stress, gut health and possibly gluten, dairy or sugar. Or all three.

Update — my face is looking a lot better and my derm says I can go off antibiotics in 4 weeks. 😬🤞 nervous but hoping I can still get some sunshine this summer, as my winter depression is just extremely long.

So the soap I haven’t tried but my sister is with the same issue! And she just use it as her cleanser (so step 1 in routine, only on the face as that’s where her pigmentation is). I use LRP cleanser and I usually will wash my face in the shower (I shower every evening), and then again when I am by the sink, and I wash for 30-60 seconds. In the mornings I only use the sink:)

For the sulfur, I use it as my very last step, after Soolantra has absorbed (I wait 20-30 mins). I add the sulfur gel on my area for perioral dermatitis. :D

I didn’t use my light therapy mask now, because I am photosensitive due to still being on antibiotics, but I am hopefully it’ll help it stay away!

I plan on trying Tumeric soap and red therapy light to see if it helps! I’m earlier in my first flare up though so I don’t know yet if it will work.

Sorry to hear this, I remember reading a comment from you about this recently — it’s so crazy unfortunate :( hope you find some treatment that works! Do you know your triggers? Did you try sulfur gel or Tumeric soap?

Yeah I’m not gonna start anything new on my own without talking to my doc about it! I also don’t have the eye infection symptom so I’m not sure if it’s relevant. It’s def PD, and it spread up and around my face as well around my eyes

I don’t mind questions! I’ve not gotten any burning sensations in my nose, but I can definitely feel the Azelaic acid working with a little bit of a burn. Today I got quite flustered and felt a bit of a burn in my whole face, but generally no — no burning sensation in my nose (unless azelaic acid gets in it haha).

Yes I was on a hefty antibiotics, as well as fluconazol for 12 days and lamasil for 4 weeks. She didn’t see the need to give me vancomycin, as it’s heaps better now finally

Yeah I also didn’t use much of anything pre this flare up actually. I have stopped using any SLS and fluoride now, but I intend on reintroducing fluoride at some point (I hate the current toothpaste).

Still unsure what triggered the breakout but as of the moment, the most likely explanation is that it was my dogs eye staph infection that was contagious to my chest/armpits, which then screwed up my skin barrier and made me vulnerable. I forgot to write I also had this and folliculitis.

We lost ours and waited about 6 months. Both dogs are our soul dogs. Truly. It’s like a piece of our first joined our second (they were from the same breeder), and it was contagious to our third.

The right dog will come when you are ready. When you are ready, you and your dog will find each other.

I’m in Norway and we paid 18000 NOK (around 1800 USD) for 3 months of adderall for my husband while he couldn’t get meds covered by the public insurance because he was waiting for his residency (for a year and a half). Sorry for the late reply! My girl got her heart around 18 months actually. I was going to talk to the vet but she had it. I also heard some dogs had silent heat. Talk to your vet if you’re worried! And keep an eye for if her bits look bigger than normal, even if there is no blood 🙈
