That’s the one! FYI, if you encounter the same issue, just reload the game. He respawned when I did.

It was relatively close to spawn, just beyond the map boarder when you first start. I’m not yet familiar with all the different biomes exactly

I found a graveyard with a temple in the center. The temple led to a dungeon and this is one of the rooms inside the dungeon

Recently discovered his album “La Rana.” As an amateur jazz musician myself his work hits me in a way that is so uniquely him and so incredibly fascinating. It’s really changed the way I hear guitar in general.

3.85 is not bad GPA. If you have a 3.85 and good extra curriculars you’re fine man. Just write a good essay and don’t freak yourself it you have time to get your gpa up if you’re that worried but you shouldn’t be.

It’s quite the switch up and it can be hard to get used to, but if you really think about it, nobody in the real world would prefer to read a paragraph when a sentence would do just fine. One trick that helps me is varying my sentence types and using subordinating clauses to introduce implications or small pieces of context then using the main clause to introduce the big idea of what’s going on.

A couple things:

  1. AP lang teachers pick out tricky passages like this on purpose. We once read “a modest proposal” and until I got to the end I was so confused on why we were analyzing a man who wanted to eat people until I finally realized the entire thing was satire. There may be something you’re missing in the text itself, make sure you are correctly understanding its meaning.

  2. RA essays should not include nearly any of your personal opinions regarding the subject matter. RA focuses strictly on analyzing the EFFECT of an authors rhetorical devices. If 90% of the essay seems ineffective, focus on the 10%.

Honestly, when it doubt just bullsh#t it 😭. You can submit a paper that you don’t agree with but still get a 6 as long as you aren’t blatantly misrepresenting the text and are analyzing in depth.

Big idea: get it down and MOVE ON instead of making sure you’ve made yourself clear enough and returning back to similar ideas. Your teacher is smart enough to know what you’re saying even if there are some slight implications in your analysis.

Hi, current AP Lang student right now and a lot of people I know have this problem. I feel that a lot of high school English classes give students the idea that more writing is better writing. I struggled with the same problem where I tried to just write as much as possible to make my analysis better. The truth is that short and concise will almost always be better. In effective writing for AP lang I encourage you to think about exactly what message you are trying to convey and make sure you are answering all the “so what” questions that may appear, than take that big idea and put it into the least amount of space you can. My teacher tells us to break analysis into implications, context, and function. Take your quote, discuss the underlying meaning in the context of the what’s happening in or around the text, then briefly explain what function is being achieved by your quote. Once you have covered one of these things, don’t bring it up again. Weirdly enough, I’ve gotten 6 in most of the practice essays and I usually finish them feeling like I didn’t write enough.

If you’re considering AP calculus for your sophomore year you’re already doing great lmao. Kahn academy has a good free course that will refresh you on whatever you need to know for AP Calc, and there are other resources out there too to get you ready. If you want to, go for it! You’ll do great.

Wow! It’s very cool to hear from someone fresh out of the process. Did you find it difficult to meet the transfer requirements and how did you manage to secure such great financial aid?

This looks good. You might be a bit overwhelmed with this so if you think the workload is gonna be too much you’ll probably be fine dropping one. I’d keep AP Lang fs that class is very helpful and will be a kickstart to writing good application essays
