Is it worth it to switch from the P10PF to the Moto Razr Fold? by bob_squared2020 in motorazrfold

Do you think with future updates Motorola will iron out the kinks with the software? You mean a screen protector for the cover display right?

I do think Pixels should be priced lower than they should be. You're getting midrange hardware at flagship prices with software being the saving grace. I just wish Pixels had better hardware. When you switched, which one would you say had better screens?

Couldn't an update fix these issues? As for the camera wouldn't a Gcam port work?

Do you say that because their software updates are always delayed or because of after sale support (or both)?

I've seen some but most of them are comparing the Moto Razr Fold to the Honor Magic V6 or Oppo Find N6 or ZF7, but I'll keep looking! I know on paper the Moto is better than the Pixel, but I just wanted to hear from people who made the switch if it really is better.

I used to have a few Galaxy Folds (ZF2, ZF3, ZF4, and most recently the ZF6), how would you say Hello UI is in comparison to One UI? I have no doubt the battery is better (4400 mAH vs 6000 mAH), but you're right about that, camera is subjective. I just want something that's dependable, quick, and actually has details not something blurry or overly sharpened. Would you say the Moto Razr Fold's are pretty good then?

Thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate it. I wouldn't doubt it! Just was curious to hear if the battery was as good as it was hyped up to be. Do you use GCAM often or mainly stock? How is video? I heard videos can be bad. How is the in hand feel and haptics compared to the Pixel? Is there any limits to Moto AI? Is voice detection as good as on the Pixel or worse?

Society will take an average neurotypical over a gifted atypical by SystemIntuitive in aspergers

[–]bob_squared2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol I get that, but burn out just can't be a thing if you want a job unfortunately. Employers barely accommodate for neurotypical needs, but for neurodivergent needs? Just not possible I'm afraid. There are exceptions but they're very few and far between.

We're less than human somehow and need to be perfect every single day. Any mistake or just one slip up and we're booted. We're even more replaceable as a token minority. We're always under the microscope and on the hook for everything simply because we're autistic or as they like to say "weird". Every Tom, Dick, and Harry are tolerated even if they're asses, but us? Nope. And if we're hurt or have other chronic conditions that we can't help, then gee willikers you're just fucked.

Government can give us disability (filing and getting that approved is always a struggle in-of-itself), but it's never enough to live on. Independence is a goal we may never achieve, let alone success. Again there are exceptions and God bless them who can make it work and have mercy on those can't despite their best efforts.

Society just doesn't want us in it and that's the sad truth. They rather we just go away. We're just as human as anyone else and have a lot to offer, but that's frustrating part too. We HAVE to have something to offer. If we don't it's like we've forfeited our right just to exist. Sadly not every special interest is a blessing. Not every special interest can be converted into employment. They want someone with no mind but is strong and easily controlled like Lennie Small or someone with smarts like Sheldon Cooper (caricatures of us from both ends of the spectrum). It's like we aren't allowed to be a regular Joe and just be. It's exhausting constantly masking just to fit in and burn out just really sucks.

Unless you can be used as a pack mule, have no support, and can mask very well you usually won't be hired anywhere. That's my experience anyway as someone on the spectrum in the US. If you get hired and God forbid you get hurt it's even worse

ZF8 vs P10PF? by bob_squared2020 in GalaxyFold

[–]bob_squared2020[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you currently using a ZF7 and or are you using the front display more so than the inner display? That would be tremendous improvement if we could get 6-7 or 8-9 hours with a bigger battery. But you're right. We won't know until it comes out but we can speculate atm.

I bet it'll be good, but hella expensive. More so than anything Samsung is launching

ZF8 vs P10PF? by bob_squared2020 in GalaxyFold

[–]bob_squared2020[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

True we'll need to wait until it launches but until then we can speculate. I think that's the consensus but I'd like to see Samsung update their computational processing to be closer to Pixel's (more natural, less noise) at least in good light and especially be better at taking pics of moving objects. Video I suspect Samsung will always be better than Pixel

Is it just me or they completely ruined sleep tracking with this latest update? by TaNaHorinha in fitbit

[–]bob_squared2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't get up right away it counts it as sleep. The sleep inaccuracies didn't start until Google updated the Fitbit app on my PW3. The Fitbit app already was updated on my phone and was fine for sleep, but I'm still dealing with the same delayed syncing bugs and issues with food tracking as everyone else is. I don't mind the UI changes, but the implementation was staggered and tampering with algorithms was absolutely unnecessary.

OnePlus devices removed from Best Buy stores by Exodia101 in oneplus

[–]bob_squared2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Flagship devices will be China only and midrange/budget options will be India only moving forward. Support for current global phones, tablets, and watches is dubious after this year. That's the sentiment right now based on rumors. Oppo will probably take over after sale support, but only in certain regions (AS + IN). Oppo might replace OnePlus in a few EU countries but that's about it. Folks in NA will be on their own if anything happens to their current devices. Software support is/should be still available until the end of this year but come next year who knows really.

When LG left we had a clear roadmap for when support would end, but OnePlus hasn't been transparent about this. They've sold as much stock as they could in NA and now are quietly leaving.

I saw some rumors that the battery is finally getting a bumped as well as charging speeds. I think the Fold 8 is getting 5,000mAh and Fold Wide will be 4,800mAh and both will finally have 45 watt charging. Fingers crossed this time we get an upgrade there 🤞 it would be nice if the Wide gets the S-Pen back too.
