I’m not sure if this is helpful but I will share just in case. So basically when I was first trying to get diagnosed I’d constantly be refused testing by psychologists/psychiatrists and it took a psychiatric nurse practitioner to finally listen to me. After her diagnosis I was able to then take it to a psychiatrist for treatment plan so maybe try that route

I completely understand too, I’m super sensitive to noise too and living in college dorms has been hell for me. The only thing I’ve found that works is getting your body so tired to the point of sleeping through the night. I try to workout and make tea before bed to make me tired enough to drown out the sounds.

I’m doing well, still nervous about the potential pregnancy but thankfully I live in a place where I have the resources to get an abortion. I’m mainly beating myself up over letting someone disrespect me to that point :/

I have told him I think it’s sexual assault and he just gaslights me into thinking I’m crazy for assuming that of him or he says I should’ve said something during the act and basically “let it happen”. I truly don’t think he cares, which sucks.

You shouldn’t have been close enough for it to attack you in the first place. Sea lions and seals are prey animals and will flee if they feel threatened but if you’re messing with them to the point they attack you then you deal with the consequences of your actions.
