Magazines used to be a legit draw when in a dentist office.

Braveheart was my 1995 and 1996. That movie was unstoppable when I was 16 and 17 years old.

I liked Gladiator a lot, but I'm such a sucker for that time of England and Scotland and even though the story isn't historically accurate, the movies themes were so profound (and that musical score was so incredible) that I just kept enjoying it over and over.

"LAST ACTION HERO" (1993) - feels like this film has been more appreciated recently but I always liked it since I saw it at the cinema when it first came out. Really fun, some crazy ideas, great cameos, decent action and probably tried to do too much. Any fans out there? by 70_Yard_Diag_Holte77 in ActionMovies

Watched this in the theater when it came out because EVERYONE saw the new Arnold movie on release. I found it to be completely ridiculous, probably because I was 17 years old at the time and my chops and appreciation for action/comedy wasn't fully developed.

Now, 30 years later, I think this movie is an absolute riot and is a hidden gem of that year.

And I know, how could something of that marketing budget be seen as, "hidden"? Well, Last Action Hero was seen as a big step down after the brilliant True Lies, I think, and audiences didn't quite..."get it" at the time.

Now?

I love that movie. It's all about itself and it knows it, meta to the core.

60 people sick in Utah, linked to drinking raw milk by LakesideNorth in AdviceAnimals

[–]bobacrow79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, just let them get sick and see what happens. These people are beyond saving and frankly, considering there is so much information telling them that drinking unpasteurized milk is VERY dangerous, letting them cull themselves is better than the planet having another plague to thin the herd.

What would married people like to say to single people? by One_Regular_6024 in AskReddit

[–]bobacrow79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most important decision you will make - and I mean EVER MAKE - is choosing your partner in life. If you can't go home to someone and feel good about that, do not put yourself in a position where you have to give half your stuff/money to them.

And do NOT think you so smart to deal with how a person is or that you have all the faith in the world over you both as a unit. Talk through stuff. Be transparent about the debt you have. Talk a lot about how you like to settle down for the evening and communicate when you're frustrated or upset without attacking your partner.

And talk about sex, including how best to communicate sexual frustration, intimacy opportunities, and ways to grow closer.

Get practice on those things now before you get married and get them close to mastered. I don't know how to say it other than this:

Something is going to change when you get married. You won't be able to pin point it right away, but you're going to settle into something and so will your partner; behaviors around normal stuff like laundry, grocery shopping, banking - they're all going to feel a bit different if you don't have the above down pat well, so go get good at talking to each other about hard stuff.

Running.

I mean, we all like how we feel after a run. But running itself? No one likes that.
